Povl Kjøller
Povl Kjøller Nielsen (June 3, 1937 – September 11, 1999) was a Danish composer, guitarist, teacher, pedagogue and tv host. Povl Kjøller is known for the songs ''Min Cykel'' (''My bike'') (also called ''Cykelsangen'' (''The Bicycle Song'')) and ''Bakke snagvendt'' (''Talk in reverse''). Many of his songs were a part of the program ''Legestue'' (''playroom'') together with the puppet duo ''Kaj og Andrea'', which he co-hosted with Kjeld Nørgaard from 1971 to 1975. He was originally trained as a music teacher, but had great success in the 1970'es with his jazz-influenced songs for children, which was often suitable for music education in schools and kindergartens. In his career Kjøller released many albums and starred in children's television on the Danish television station DR, often together with Iben Wurbs and Trille. Royal Library, Denmark
The Royal Library ( da, Det Kongelige Bibliotek) in Copenhagen is the national library of Denmark and the university library of the University of Copenhagen. It is among the largest libraries in the world and the largest in the Nordic countries. In 2017, it merged with the State and University Library in Aarhus to form a combined national library. The combined library organisation (the separate library locations in Copenhagen and Aarhus are maintained) is known as the Royal Danish Library ( da, Det Kgl. Bibliotek). It contains numerous historical treasures, and a copy of all works printed in Denmark since the 17th century are deposited there. Kaj and Andrea is a Danish children's television show about two puppet characters, a male frog named Kaj and a female parrot named Andrea. They sing, play and talk with the human presenters. The show ran on DR TV 1971–1975 (83 episodes) and again 1996–2007 (100 episodes). Andrea started out as a character on the children's programme '' Legestue'' and first appeared on 8 March 1971. Kaj was introduced to the show later on after Jimmy Stahr, the head of pre-school programmes at Danmarks Radio, had seen the American TV children's show ''Sesame Street''. Thrombosis
Thrombosis (from Ancient Greek "clotting") is the formation of a blood clot inside a blood vessel, obstructing the flow of blood through the circulatory system. When a blood vessel (a vein or an artery) is injured, the body uses platelets (thrombocytes) and fibrin to form a blood clot to prevent blood loss. Even when a blood vessel is not injured, blood clots may form in the body under certain conditions. A clot, or a piece of the clot, that breaks free and begins to travel around the body is known as an embolus. Thrombosis may occur in veins (venous thrombosis) or in arteries (arterial thrombosis). Venous thrombosis (sometimes called DVT, deep vein thrombosis) leads to a blood clot in the affected part of the body, while arterial thrombosis (and, rarely, severe venous thrombosis) affects the blood supply and leads to damage of the tissue supplied by that artery (ischemia and necrosis). Ringe, Denmark
Ringe is a town with a population of 6,474 (1 January 2022) on Funen in central Denmark. It is the seat of Faaborg-Midtfyn Municipality and was the seat of the now abolished Ringe municipality. The main office of Rynkeby Foods, a major Danish producer of juice and squash, is located in Ringe. Landmarks Museum The Ringe Museum is the only existing museum in the town and is a vast part of its cultural history. In 1704, the building was constructed as a school, with many improvements and adjustments being made in 1737. The museum is run by Midtfyns Museumsforening and is funded by Faaborg-Midtfyn Kommune, who owns the building itself. The museum has two interiors (bedroom and living room), an extensive array of historical weaponry and a broad collection of tools representing numerous crafts.
