Pottiaceae
The Pottiaceae are a Family (biology), family of mosses. They form the most numerous moss family known, containing nearly 1500 species or more than 10% of the 10,000 to 15,000 moss species known. Calymperastrum
''Calymperastrum latifolium'' is the sole species in the monotypic moss genus ''Calymperastrum''. It is a poorly known moss, having been collected only three times. All three collections were from the trunks of ''Macrozamia'', in the Southwest Botanic Province of Western Australia. It is presumed endemic to the region, making it the only moss genus known endemic to that state. Description This moss grows in a low turf, yellowish green from above but yellowish brown below. It has unbranching stems about six millimetres in length, with a reddish-brown mat of hairs on their lower half. These support numerous narrow spathulate leaves from 2.0 to 3.1 millimetres long. Nothing is known of its sexual structures and sporophytes. Taxonomy This taxon was first collected from near Perth, Western Australia, Perth in the 1840s, and published as ''Calymperes latifolium'' in 1846 by Georg Ernst Ludwig Hampe, in Volume II of Johann Georg Christian Lehmann's ''Plantae Preissianae''. In the 1980s, ...

Tortula Muralis
''Tortula muralis'', commonly known as wall- screw moss, is a species of moss in the family Pottiaceae. ''T. muralis'' is found throughout the world. Taxonomy Due to the diversity of the genus ''Tortula'', there are groups of taxa within the genus that are more closely related than others. The genus ''Tortula'' and the genus '' Barbula'' were previously used interchangeably, and some species have since been reclassified. The ''T. muralis'' complex consists of four taxa (''T. lingulate'', ''T. obtusifolia'', ''T. muralis var. aestiva'', ''T. muralis var. muralis''), two of which are ''T. muralis'' varieties. They are similar in appearance and are commonly mistaken for each other. * ''T. lingulate'' have a relatively large spore size (10 – 18.5 µm) compared to the other three (7.5 – 13.5 µm). * ''T. obtusifolia'' and ''T. muralis var. aestiva'' both have short hairpoints and difficult to distinguish. * ''T. muralis var. muralis'' are very similar to ''T. muralis v ...

Broth
Broth, also known as bouillon (), is a savory liquid made of water in which meat, fish or vegetables have been simmered for a short period of time. It can be eaten alone, but it is most commonly used to prepare other dishes, such as soups, gravies, and sauces. Commercially prepared liquid broths are available, typically chicken, beef, fish, and vegetable varieties. Dehydrated broth in the form of bouillon cubes were commercialized beginning in the early 20th century. Broths have been used as a nutrition source for the sick in Great Britain since at least the early 1700s, such as for dysentery patients. Stock versus broth Many cooks and food writers use the terms ''broth'' and ''stock'' interchangeably. In 1974, James Beard wrote that stock, broth, and bouillon "are all the same thing". While many draw a distinction between stock and broth, the details of the distinction often differ. One possibility is that stocks are made primarily from animal bones, as opposed to mea ...
