Pose is a contemporary American artist living and working in Chicago, Illinois. Biography Pose makes traditional fine art, murals, sculptures, as well as graffiti. He has been featured in multiple issues of Juxtapoz Art & Culture Magazine and is known for "bubbling colors, the hidden characters, the insane detailing and intricate design in his graffiti." Shepard Fairey has described his work as “a hybrid of the aesthetics of pop art, graffiti, sign painting and comics that are all areas of his interest done in his own style.” In 2013, with Revok, he painted a mural in the Bowery. ''Juxtapoz Art & Culture Magazine'' (pronounced ''JUX-tah-pose'') is a magazine created in 1994 by a group of artists and art collectors including Robert Williams, Fausto Vitello, C.R. Stecyk III (a.k.a. Craig Stecyk), Greg Escalante, and Eric Swenson to both help define and celebrate urban alternative and underground contemporary art. ''Juxtapoz'' is published by High Speed Productions, the same company that publishes ''Thrasher'' skateboard magazine in San Francisco, California. Shepard Fairey
Frank Shepard Fairey (born February 15, 1970) is an American contemporary artist, activist and founder of OBEY Clothing who emerged from the skateboarding scene. In 1989 he designed the " Andre the Giant Has a Posse" (...OBEY...) sticker campaign while attending the Rhode Island School of Design (RISD). Fairey designed the Barack Obama "Hope" poster for the 2008 U.S. presidential election. The Institute of Contemporary Art, Boston has described him as one of the best known and most influential street artists. Revok
Revok (born 1977 in Riverside, California) birth name Jason Williams is an American graffiti artist. The name comes from the movie Scanners by David Cronenberg. In 2012 Revok started the ''Detroit Beautification Project''. In 2018 Revok filed a cease-and-desist letter to H&M clothing retailer, claim that the company infringed on his artwork, using it in one of their brand logos. H&M in turn, sued Revok asserting he could not claim copyright on art work created illegally (street art/graffiti). The issue was settled in Revok's favor. The Bowery () is a street and neighborhood in Lower Manhattan in New York City.
