São Tomé and Principe Championship (Portuguese: ''Campeonato Nacional'') is the top division of the São Toméan Football Federation. In the current 2021/22 season there are 18 teams participating in two separate leagues - 12 teams from São Tomé Island, whose league has two relegation places, alongside 6 teams from Príncipe Island, which operates as a single division with no relegation. The 2015 São Tomé (Island or Regional) First Division took place that season. The club was had 10 clubs and appeared in that number for the last time, the competition began in June and finished on 19 November. Geographically almost all clubs but Neves that took part in the Premier Division were in the east. Sporting Praia Cruz won the title and went on to participate in the national championships for the seventh time in November.
