Porter Block
Porter Block is an American, New York-based power pop band, formed by Peter Block and Caleb Sherman. Since 2006, the band has released five albums and one EP, including several collaborations with Mike Viola. History Porter Block formed in the early 2000s. Peter Block met Caleb Sherman in 2003 while playing in the band Tripasaurus vs. Blockhead. During recording sessions at the Engine Room Audio in New York City, Block and Sherman formed Porter Block. The group’s influences drew from 1960s British Invasion bands to ‘70s acts such as Neil Young and The Eagles. Porter Block’s debut album, ''Suburban Sprawl'', was released in 2006 by Engine Room Recordings, a label founded by Block and Engine Room Audio owner Mark Christensen. Noah Kalina
Noah Kalina (born July 4, 1980) is an American art photographer. Much of Kalina's work focuses on the passage of time including his well-known project '' Everyday'' which shows the aging of a human. His photographs have appeared in ''The New York Times Magazine'', ''Monocle'', ''Businessweek'', ''Nylon'', ''Esquire'', ''Le Monde'', and ''Interview'', among others. Life Born in Huntington, New York, on July 4, 1980, Kalina attended Harborfields High School. He graduated from the School of Visual Arts. The Kinks
The Kinks were an English rock band formed in Muswell Hill, north London, in 1963 by brothers Ray and Dave Davies. They are regarded as one of the most influential rock bands of the 1960s. The band emerged during the height of British rhythm and blues and Merseybeat, and were briefly part of the British Invasion of the United States until their touring ban in 1965. Davey Faragher
David Allen "Davey" Faragher (born August 18, 1957) is an American bass guitarist from Redlands, California. Faragher's career took off and received critical notice as a founding member of the nineties band Cracker, and his subsequent work with John Hiatt's band, and The Imposters, the backing band for Elvis Costello since 2001. In 2015, Faragher joined Richard Thompson's Electric Trio for Thompson's ''Still'' album and US tour. Faragher is an accomplished session musician, and has a strong portfolio of performances with notable musicians. Pete Thomas (drummer)
Peter Michael Thomas (born 9 August 1954) is an English rock drummer best known for his collaboration with singer Elvis Costello, both as a member of his band the Attractions and with Costello as a solo artist. Besides his lengthy career as a studio musician and touring drummer, he has been a member of the band Squeeze during the 1990s and a member of the supergroup Works Progress Administration during the early 2000s.
