''Por amar sin ley'' (English title: ''Laws of love'') is a Mexican telenovela produced by José Alberto Castro that premiered on Las Estrellas on 12 February 2018. It is a remake of a 2016 Colombian telenovela ''La ley del corazón''. The telenovela revolves around the personal life and work of a group of lawyers belonging to a prestigious law firm. Executive producer José Alberto Castro has said that he does not know if he will carry out a third season of the telenovela, but he left open all the elements to continue it if Televisa decides to do it later. On 7 February 2020, producer José Alberto Castro confirmed that the series had been renewed for a third season. Telenovela
A telenovela is a type of a television serial drama or soap opera produced primarily in Latin America. The word combines ''tele'' (for "television") and ''novela'' (meaning "novel"). Similar drama genres around the world include '' teleserye'' (Philippines), '' téléroman'' (Canada, specifically Quebec), and ''sinetron'' (Indonesia). Commonly described using the American colloquialism Spanish soap opera, many telenovelas share some stylistic and thematic similarities to the soap opera familiar to the English-speaking world. The significant difference is their series run length; telenovelas tell one self-contained story, typically within the span of a year or less whereas soap operas tend to have intertwined storylines told during indefinite, continuing runs. This makes them shorter than most other television series, but still much longer than a miniseries. Roberto Ballesteros
Roberto Ballesteros (born March 22, 1954) is a Peruvian actor. Although he was born in Lima, Peru, Ballesteros is widely known for his work in Mexican telenovela and films, leading many of his fans to believe that he is actually Mexican. In the United States and Puerto Rico, Ballesteros is sometimes seen working on Univision. Career Ballesteros has played a variety of roles during his career, including romantic antagonists and leads. Las Estrellas ("The Stars"; previously El Canal de las Estrellas, or "The Channel of the Stars") is one of the cornerstone networks of TelevisaUnivision, with affiliate stations all over Mexico, flagshipped at XEW-TDT in Mexico City. Many of the programs of ''Las Estrellas'' are seen in the United States on Univision, UniMás, and Galavisión. History Las Estrellas originated from XEW-TV, which began broadcasting on 21 March 1951. Several cameras—either film or professional video cameras—are employed on the set and simultaneously record or broadcast a scene.
