''Poovizhi Vasalile'' () is a 1987 Indian Tamil language, Tamil-language thriller film directed by Fazil (director), Fazil, starring Sathyaraj, Sujitha and Karthika (Malayalam actress), Karthika, with Raghuvaran, Babu Antony, Nizhalgal Ravi, T. S. Raghavendra and Rajyalakshmi playing supporting roles. The film, produced by Lakshmi Priya Combines, had musical score by Ilaiyaraaja and was released on 14 January 1987. It is a remake of the Malayalam film ''Poovinu Puthiya Poonthennal''. ''Poovizhi Vasalile'' was released on 14 January 1987. The film received critical acclaim from the critics and went on screens for more than 23 weeks in cities such as Chennai, Coimbatore, Madurai and Tiruchirappalli and completed 100 days in other parts as well, it went on to become one of the biggest commercial successes of 1987. Abdul Hameed Muhammed Fazil (born 4 February 1949 in Alappuzha, Kerala), known mononymously as Fazil, is an Indian film director, producer, screenwriter and actor who works in Malayalam cinema, in addition to directing a handful of Tamil films and a Telugu film. He made his directional debut with the 1980 film ''Manjil Virinja Pookkal''. Malaysia Vasudevan
Vasudevan (15 June 1944 – 20 February 2011), known as Malaysia Vasudevan, was a Malaysian-Indian playback singer and actor in Tamil cinema. Early life Malaysia Vasudevan's parents were from Palakkad. Chattu Nair of Ottappalam and Ammalu of Polpulli, along with their families migrated to British Malaya in search of a livelihood. After a few years, Chattu Nair married Ammalu in an arranged marriage. Vasudevan was born on 15 June 1944 as their eighth and youngest child. Even though he was a Malayali, as was the case with the majority of contemporary South Indian migrants to Malaya then, his surroundings in Malaysia was dominated by the Tamil language and culture. A ''raga'' or ''raag'' (; also ''raaga'' or ''ragam''; ) is a melodic framework for improvisation in Indian classical music akin to a melodic mode. The ''rāga'' is a unique and central feature of the classical Indian music tradition, and as a result has no direct translation to concepts in classical European music.
