Ponkunnam Damodaran
Ponkunnam Damodaran (1915-1994) was a poet, novelist, dramatist and communist supporter who was active from 1940 to 1970. He wrote the song "Pachappanamthate...", used in the Malayalam film ''Nottam ''Nottam'' is a 2006 Malayalam film starring Ajir Shujahi, Arun, Nedumudi Venu, Jagathi Sreekumar and Samvrutha Sunil in the lead roles. Ponkunnam
Ponkunnam (പൊൻകുന്നം) is a census town in Kerala, India, part of Kottayam district under Kanjirappally taluk. Ponkunnam literally means ''golden mountain'' (''ponn'' = gold, ''kunn'' = mountain). Nearby towns are Kanjirappalli, Manimala and Pala. This part of Kerala is famous for its fertile land and rubber plantations. It is at an altitude of above mean sea level. The town is at the junction of two major roads in Kerala: NH220 and Main Eastern Highway. The climate is moderate with timely cold breezes and the town is the gateway to the Western Ghats. MD Rajendran
M. D. Rajendran is a malayalam poet ,lyricist and novelist. His father Ponkunnam Damodaran was a poet and activist. His siblings, M D Rathnamma and M D Ajayaghosh are also writers in malayalam. He was employed with All India Radio and retired from service in 2012. He has written lyrics for nearly 40 malayalam films. He has also composed music for a few films as well as albums. His collection of songs are published as a book titled ' Nin Thumbu Kettiyitta Churul Mudiyil' . His debut film as a lyricist was Mochanam in 1979. Jyotsna Radhakrishnan (born 5 September 1986) is an Indian playback singer. She predominantly works in 12+ languages including Malayalam, Tamil, Telugu and Kannada. She has sung more than 1000 songs.
