Polythea, Trikala
Polythea () is a village and a community of the Meteora municipality. Since the 2011 local government reform it was part of the community of Aspropotamos, of which it was a communal district. The 2011 census recorded 36 residents in the village. The community of Polythea covers an area of 24.293 km2. Thessaly ( el, Θεσσαλία, translit=Thessalía, ; ancient Thessalian: , ) is a traditional geographic and modern administrative region of Greece, comprising most of the ancient region of the same name. Before the Greek Dark Ages, Thessaly was known as Aeolia (, ), and appears thus in Homer's ''Odyssey''. Thessaly became part of the modern Greek state in 1881, after four and a half centuries of Ottoman rule. Trikala ( el, Περιφερειακή ενότητα Τρικάλων) is one of the regional units of Greece, forming the northwestern part of the modern regions of Greece, region of Thessaly. Its capital is the town of Trikala. The regional unit includes the town of Kalampaka and the Meteora monastery complex. Aspropotamos, Trikala
Aspropotamos (Greek: Ασπροπόταμος meaning the white river) is a former community in the Trikala regional unit, Thessaly, Greece. Since the 2011 local government reform it is part of the municipality Meteora, of which it is a municipal unit. The 2011 census recorded 419 residents in the municipal unit. The seat of the community was in Kallirroi (pop. 42). Name The community was named after the river Aspropotamos, a tributary of the Acheloos. Geography Aspropotamos is located in the southern Pindus mountains, in the westernmost part of Trikala regional unit, about 40 km west of Trikala and 20 km southeast of Metsovo. Aspropotamos covers an area of 297.082 km2. The largest settlement in the municipal unit is Agía Paraskeví (pop. 69). Vehicle Registration Plates Of Greece
Greek vehicle registration plates are composed of three letters and four digits per plate (e.g. ΑΑΑ–1000) printed in black on a white background. The letters represent the district (prefecture) that issues the plates while the numbers range from 1000 to 9999. As of 2004 a blue strip was added on the left showing the country code of Greece (GR) in white text and the Flag of Europe in yellow. Similar plates but of square size with numbers ranging from 1 to 999 are issued for motorcycles which exceed 50 cc in engine size. With the exception of Athens and Thessaloniki which are represented by just the first letter of the three, all other districts are represented by the first 2 letters. The final one or two letters in the sequence changes in Greek alphabetical order after 8,999 issued plates. The ''Government Gazette'' ( el, Εφημερίς της Κυβερνήσεως, translit=Efimeris tis Kyverniseos, translit-std=ISO, lit=Government Gazette) is the official journal of the Government of Greece which lists all laws passed in a set time period ratified by Cabinet and President.
