This article lists political parties in the Dominican Republic. The Dominican Republic has a multi-party system, with two or three strong parties and a third party that is electorally successful. Green Conservatism
Green conservatism is a combination of conservatism with environmentalism. Environmental concern has been voiced by both conservative politicians and philosophers throughout the history of modern conservatism, with Edmund Burke (the philosophical founder of modern conservatism), in his ''Reflections on the Revolution in France'', quoted as saying: "the earth, the kind and equal mother of all ought not to be monopolised to foster the pride and luxury of any men". Civic Renovation Party
The Civic Renovation Party ( es, Partido Cívico Renovador, or PCR) is a political party in the Dominican Republic which was founded in 2006 as the Civic Renovation Movement by Jorge Radhamés Zorrilla Ozuna and a group of social-democratic Dominicans. The party was recognized by the Junta Central Electoral on December 16, 2009 and participated in the 2012 presidential elections, supporting Dominican Liberation Party candidate Danilo Medina through the Purple Alliance. Green Left
The term green left refers primarily to a political affiliation that combines elements of green politics and left-wing politics in countries where the term is used. It is primarily a social justice and human rights oriented ideology, with an expansion in focus to the rights of other species. The Country Alliance ( es, link=no, Alianza País, ALPAÍS) is a political party in the Dominican Republic founded in 2011 by Guillermo Moreno and other citizens. Despite being a recently formed party, it has had a relatively positive acceptance by the population, obtaining in some polls even around 15% sympathy, according to the Greenberg-Diario Libre pollster. The Dominican Revolutionary Party ( es, link=no, Partido Revolucionario Dominicano, PRD) is a political party in the Dominican Republic. Traditionally a left-of-centre party and social democratic in nature, the party has shifted since the 2000s toward the political centre. The party's distinctive color is white.
