Polezhaevskaya
Polezhayevskaya (russian: Полежаевская) is a station on the Moscow Metro's Tagansko-Krasnopresnenskaya line. It opened on 30 December 1972 as part of the original Krasnopresnenkiy radius and Krasnopresnenskaya line, and is unusual in having three through tracks (although it was not the first such station, see Partizanskaya). The station was initially intended to be at a junction to a branch toward Serebryanny Bor. However, the branch was scrapped after construction had already started, and the station was completed as originally planned. The station is named after Vasily Polezhayev, who was the head of Mosmetrostroy (The Moscow Metro building organisation) in 1958-1972. Its widened column tri-span design has a row of pillars in the centre of each of the two platforms, creating a wide space above the centre track. There are 250 active stations of the Moscow Metro. Of these, 209 on Moscow Metro proper, and some additional ones that are marketed by Moscow Metro: 6 stations of Moscow Monorail and 31 stations of the Moscow Central Circle. Khoroshyovsky District
Khoroshyovsky District (russian: Хорошёвский райо́н) is an administrative district (raion) of Northern Administrative Okrug, and one of the 125 raions of Moscow, Russia. It is 6 kilometers northwest of the Moscow city center. Central to the district is Khodynka Field, which, as an open space in the northwest of Moscow was long the site of agriculture, battles, celebrations and the first airfield in Russia. Partizanskaya (Moscow Metro)
Partizanskaya ( rus, Партизанская, p=pərtʲɪˈzanskəjə), known until 2005 as Izmailovsky Park (), is a station on the Arbatsko-Pokrovskaya Line of the Moscow Metro. It was built during World War II, opened in 1944 and is dedicated to the Soviet partisans who resisted the Nazis. The name was changed on the 60th anniversary of the Soviet victory to reflect the theme of the station better. The station's design was the work of the architect Vilenskiy. Partizanskaya is an unusual three-track layout, with two island platforms. The rarelt-used centre track was built to handle crowds from a nearby stadium that was planned but never built because of the war. There is one row of pillars per platform. Both the walls and pillars of the station are faced with white marble and decorated with bas-reliefs honouring the partisans. Bolshaya Koltsevaya Line
The Bolshaya Koltsevaya line (russian: Большая кольцевая линия), known in English as the Big Circle Line, designated Line 11 and 11A is an under construction rapid transit line of the Moscow Metro.
