Jorge Polaco
Jorge Polaco (20 November 1946 – 20 February 2014) was an Argentine film director and screenwriter. His 1987 film ''En el nombre del hijo'' won Best Film at the 1988 Festroia International Film Festival in Setúbal, Portugal. Career After directing the short film ''Margotita'' (1984) Polaco made his feature film debut with ''Diapasón'' (1986), a modern retelling of the Pygmalion myth. It was followed by ''En el nombre del hijo'' (1987), a film about a disturbed doll restorer and his possessive mother, for which he won a Golden Dolphin at the Festróia – Tróia International Film Festival in Setubal, Portugal, in 1988. Peter Joseph "PJ" Polaco (born October 16, 1973) is a retired American professional wrestler, best known for his appearances with Extreme Championship Wrestling (ECW) and the World Wrestling Federation (WWF) under the ring name Justin Credible. He is also known for his earlier stint with the WWF under the ring name Aldo Montoya. Polaco is a one-time world champion, having won the ECW World Heavyweight Championship once. His first major stint was in the WWF as Aldo Montoya, where he competed as a mid-carder between 1994 and 1997. Lito & Polaco were a Puerto Rican hip hop duo from Carolina, Puerto Rico. Musical careers Lito y Polaco were discovered in the early 1990s by Spanish Hip Hop and Reggaeton pioneer DJ Eric Industry. They formed part of the hip hop/reggaeton group "La Industria" alongside MC Ceja, Jackie, TNT, Prieto Valdez and others. Polacca
A polacca (or ''polacre'') is a type of seventeenth- to nineteenth-century sailing vessel, similar to the xebec. The name is the feminine of "Polish" in the Italian language. The polacca was frequently seen in the Mediterranean. It had two or three single-pole masts, the three-masted vessels often with a lateen hoisted on the foremast (which was slanted forward to accommodate the large lateen yard) and a gaff or lateen on the mizzen mast. The mainmast was square-rigged after the European style. Special polaccas were used by Murat Reis, whose ships had lateen sails in front and fore-and-aft rig behind. Some polacca pictures show what appears to be a ship-rigged vessel (sometimes with a lateen on the mizzen) with a galley-like hull and single-pole masts. Thus, the term "polacca" seems to refer primarily to the masting and possibly the hull type as opposed to the type of rig used for the sails.
