Pol Popovic Karic
Pol Popovic Karic (born October 21, 1962) is a professor and research in Spanish, English and French literature at the Tec de Monterrey, Campus Monterrey. He has published and edited a number of books as well as articles for Mexican and international journals. His research work has been recognized with Level II membership in the Sistema Nacional de Investigadores and the Academia Mexicana de Ciencias. Life and education Popovic Karic was born in Belgrade, during the period of Yugoslavia. He is currently married. The professor has a doctorate in contemporary literature from the Universidad Iberoamericana (1998), and a doctorate in French literature from the University of Texas at Austin, as well as a master's degree in French literature from the University of Arizona and a bachelor's degree in French from the University of Arkansas. Luisa Valenzuela Levinson (born 26 November 1938) is a post-'Boom' novelist and short story writer. Her writing is characterized by an experimental style which questions hierarchical social structures from a feminist perspective. She may be best-known for her work written in response to the dictatorship of the 1970s in Argentina. Carlos Fuentes Macías (; ; November 11, 1928 – May 15, 2012) was a Mexican novelist and essayist. Among his works are ''The Death of Artemio Cruz'' (1962), '' Aura'' (1962), '' Terra Nostra'' (1975), ''The Old Gringo'' (1985) and ''Christopher Unborn'' (1987). In his obituary, ''The New York Times'' described Fuentes as "one of the most admired writers in the Spanish-speaking world" and an important influence on the Latin American Boom, the "explosion of Latin American literature in the 1960s and '70s", while ''The Guardian'' called him "Mexico's most celebrated novelist". Alfonso Reyes
Alfonso Reyes Ochoa (17 May 1889 in Monterrey, Nuevo León – 27 December 1959 in Mexico City) was a Mexican writer, philosopher and diplomat. José Emilio Pacheco
José Emilio Pacheco Berny (June 30, 1939 – January 26, 2014) was a Mexican poet, essayist, novelist and short story writer. He is regarded as one of the major Mexican poets of the second half of the 20th century. The Berlin International Literature Festival has praised him as "one of the most significant contemporary Latin American poets". In 2009 he was awarded the Cervantes Prize for his literary oeuvre.
