Pokkiri Thambi
''Pokkiri Thambi'' () is a 1992 Indian Tamil-language thriller film directed by Senthilnathan. The film stars Anandaraj and Kaveri, with Vijayakumar, Janagaraj, Jayanthkumar, Balambika, Kumarimuthu, Bayilvan Ranganathan, Anuja, Kullamani, Boopathi Raja and King Kong playing supporting roles. It was released on 22 May 1992. Plot In a remote village, many young women have mysteriously disappeared the night and their dead bodies are found the following day. Pannaiyar, the village chief, promises the villagers to find and punish the culprit. Thambidurai is an angry young man who works hard the day in Pannaiyar's farm and enjoys drinking arrack the night. He lives with his mother and his sister Selvi. Thereafter, Selvi and Pannaiyar's son Jayanthkumar fall in love with each other but Pannaiyar refuses to marry them and humiliates Thambidurai. A vengeful Thambidurai then sneaks into Pannaiyar's house the night and he forcefully rapes Kaveri, thinking that she is Pannaiyar's daughte ...

Senthilnathan Jambulingam is an Indian film director, screenwriter, producer and television actor who predominantly works in Tamil cinema and serials, based in Chennai. ''Kalki'' is a Tamil language, Tamil-language Weekly (news magazine), weekly magazine published from Chennai, India. The magazine was established by Kalki Krishnamurthy, a popular Tamil language, Tamil novelist and Indian freedom fighter, in 1941. Kalki Sadasivam, T Sadasivam was the magazine's co-founder. Swarnalatha (29 April 1973 – 12 September 2010) was an Indian playback singer. She is considered to be as Humming Queen Of India and Nightingale Of Tamil Cinema. In a career spanning almost 22 years (from 1987 until her death), she recorded over 10,000 songs in many Indian languages, including Tamil, Malayalam, Telugu, Kannada, Hindi, Urdu, Bengali, Oriya, Punjabi, and Badaga. she is referred to as Swarangalin Arasi. Vasudevan (15 June 1944 – 20 February 2011), known as Malaysia Vasudevan, was a Malaysian-Indian playback singer and actor in Tamil cinema. Early life Malaysia Vasudevan's parents were from Palakkad. Chattu Nair of Ottappalam and Ammalu of Polpulli, along with their families migrated to British Malaya in search of a livelihood.
