''Podocarpus angustifolius'' is a species of conifer in the family Podocarpaceae. It is endemic to Cuba. This is a shrub or tree growing up to 12 meters tall. It grows in mountain pine forests and rainforests on the eastern end of the island of Cuba. It can be found in pine forest on sandstone soils alongside ''Pinus cubensis'', '' Brunella comocladifolia'', '' Cyrilla nipensis'', '' Myrsine coriacea'', '' Tabebuia hypoleuca'', tree ferns and shrubs. ''Byrsonima'' is one of about 75 genera in the Malpighiaceae, a family of flowering plants in the order Malpighiales.
