Plumbum, Or The Dangerous Game
''Plumbum, or The Dangerous Game'' (russian: Плюмбум, или опасная игра, "Plyumbum, ili Opasnaya igra") is a 1987 Soviet coming-of-age drama film directed by Vadim Abdrashitov. The film was entered into the main competition at the 44th edition of the Venice Film Festival, where it received the President of the Italian Senate's Gold Medal. Plot Fifteen year old gifted teenager Ruslan Chutko longs to do good and help the police to identify offenses under the pseudonym Plumbum (Latin for - Lead). Plumbum decides in a single provincial town to eradicate the evil. However, in his interest of being a fighter against evil he goes far beyond what is permitted in a children's play and ends up ruthlessly invading people's lives. Vadim Abdrashitov
Vadim Yusupovich Abdrashitov (russian: Вадим Юсупович Абдрашитов, tt-Cyrl, Вадим Йосыф улы Габдерәшитов) is one of Russian cinema's most notable independent directors. He is internationally renowned, with awards from the Berlin and Venice Film Festivals, and is a People's Artist of Russia. Early life and education Abdrashitov was born in Ukraine to Tatar father and Russian mother. He moved all over the Soviet Union with his father's military assignments. He was so impressed with the space flight of the first Russian cosmonaut that he left his parents and moved to Moscow to study nuclear physics at the Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology. Vladimir Aleksandrovich Steklov (russian: Владимир Алeксандрович Стеклов; born 3 March 1948) is a USSR, Soviet and Russian actor. Biography He graduated from the Astrakhan School of Theatre in 1970 and acted in more than 50 movies during his career. In 1999 he underwent basic cosmonaut training in preparation for visiting the Mir, MIR space station as a commercial guest to work on a film, but his trip was canceled.
