Plešivica is a village in Croatia, under the Vrbovsko township, in Primorje-Gorski Kotar County. Name The name of the village is common for mountains and hills with meadows on top, derived from the adjective ''plešiv'' "bare, treeless". 2014 Dinaric Ice Storm
The 2014 Dinaric ice storm, better known as the 2014 Slovenia ice storm or 2014 Croatia ice storm, was a severe ice storm ( SPIA 5) that struck the Northwest Dinaric Alps between 31 January and 2 February 2014. The freezing rain led to glazing of a vast region with about of ice, locally above . It wrecked roofs, power lines an forests, causing power loss for hundreds of thousands. Liplje, Vrbovsko
Liplje or Liplje Bosiljevačko is a settlement in the City of Vrbovsko in Croatia. In 2021, its population was 58. History Pavle Pavlinić and Jakov Ribić of Liplje were listed by as fallen antifascist soldiers in WWII. On 11 August 2012, drought caused a loss of tap water in Severin na Kupi, Draga Lukovdolska, Močile, Smišljak, Damalj, Klanac, Plešivica, Rim, Zdihovo and Liplje. Liplje was hit by the 2014 Dinaric ice storm. On 18 July 2023, the wind of a thunderstorm left Liplje without power. Demographics In 1828/1830, there were 147 residents in 15 families, all Catholic.
