Klanac ( sr-Cyrl, Кланац) is a village in Croatia. It is connected by the D3 highway. Geography The view of the Kupa valley from the at Klanac is particularly well-known. Rinderpest
Rinderpest (also cattle plague or steppe murrain) was an infectious viral disease of cattle, domestic water buffalo, and many other species of even-toed ungulates, including gaurs, African Buffalo, buffaloes, large antelope, deer, giraffes, wildebeests, and warthogs. The disease was characterized by fever, oral erosions, diarrhea, lymphoid necrosis, and high mortality. Death rates during outbreaks were usually extremely high, approaching 100% in immunologically naïve populations. Rinderpest was mainly transmitted by direct contact and by drinking contaminated water, although it could also be transmitted by air. 2014 Dinaric Ice Storm
The 2014 Dinaric ice storm, better known as the 2014 Slovenia ice storm or 2014 Croatia ice storm, was a severe ice storm ( SPIA 5) that struck the Northwest Dinaric Alps between 31 January and 2 February 2014. Liplje, Vrbovsko
Liplje or Liplje Bosiljevačko is a settlement in the City of Vrbovsko in Croatia. In 2021, its population was 58. History Pavle Pavlinić and Jakov Ribić of Liplje were listed by as fallen antifascist soldiers in WWII. On 11 August 2012, drought caused a loss of tap water in Severin na Kupi, Draga Lukovdolska, Močile, Smišljak, Damalj, Klanac, Plešivica, Rim, Zdihovo and Liplje. Liplje was hit by the 2014 Dinaric ice storm. On 18 July 2023, the wind of a thunderstorm left Liplje without power. Demographics In 1828/1830, there were 147 residents in 15 families, all Catholic. Tirage: 200. In 1870, Liplje, in Rim's ''porezna općina'', had 27 houses and 196 people. Rim was in Lukovdol parish, but Zdihovo and Liplje were in Bosiljevo parish. Draga Lukovdolska is a village in Croatia, under the Vrbovsko township, in Primorje-Gorski Kotar County.
