Pleasureville is a suburban unincorporated community and census-designated place (CDP) in York County, Pennsylvania, United States. It was first listed as a CDP prior to the 2020 census. Pleasureville is in central York County, in the northwestern part of Springettsbury Township, north of York, the county seat. It is bordered to the northwest by Codorus Creek, a northeastward-flowing tributary of the Susquehanna River. Manchester Township is to the northwest across Codorus Creek. Pleasureville Historic District
The Pleasureville Historic District is a national historic district that is located in Springettsbury Township in York County, Pennsylvania. The district was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2000. History and architectural features This district includes 105 contributing buildings and one contributing site that are located in the crossroad community of Pleasureville. Most of the buildings are residential, including nineteenth-century, vernacular dwellings and notable examples of early twentieth-century Colonial Revival and Italianate-style structures. Notable non-residential buildings include a former schoolhouse (c. 1870), a meeting hall (c. 1875), a former store and accessory shop (c. 1860), and a small industrial shop (c. 1930). Manchester Township is a township in York County, Pennsylvania, United States. The population was 19,514 at the 2020 census. History Manchester Township, deriving its name from the English Duke of Manchester, was laid out in 1742 by Thomas Cookson, a representative of the Lancaster County Courts, because at that time York County was a part of Lancaster County. In the entire township there were 300 inhabitants. The first settlers were English Quakers, with German immigrants settling later and establishing it as an important agricultural community.
