''Playboi Carti'' (commonly referred to as ''Self Titled'') is the debut mixtape by American rapper Playboi Carti. It was released on April 14, 2017, by ASAP Mob, AWGE Label and Interscope Records. The mixtape features music production, production from Pi'erre Bourne, Southside (record producer), Southside and others, and guest appearances from American rappers Lil Uzi Vert, ASAP Rocky, and Dutch singer Leven Kali. The physical version of the mixtape was released on October 6, 2017, and a vinyl edition was released on November 17, 2017. The mixtape was supported by three singles – "Lookin", "Wokeuplikethis", and "Magnolia (song), Magnolia", the third peaking at number 29 on the US Billboard Hot 100, ''Billboard'' Hot 100. Jordan Terrell Carter (born September 13, 1996), known professionally as Playboi Carti, is an American rapper. Carter was initially signed to local underground label Awful Records prior to signing with ASAP Mob's AWGE Label under Interscope Records. ''Die Lit'' is the debut studio album by American rapper Playboi Carti. It was released on May 11, 2018, by AWGE Label and Interscope Records. The album features guest appearances from Skepta, Travis Scott, Lil Uzi Vert, Pi'erre Bourne, Nicki Minaj, Bryson Tiller, Chief Keef, Gunna, Red Coldhearted, Young Thug, and Young Nudy. Album-equivalent Unit
The album-equivalent unit, or album equivalent, is a measurement unit in music industry to define the consumption of music that equals the purchase of one album copy. This consumption includes streaming and song downloads in addition to traditional album sales. The album-equivalent unit was introduced in the mid- 2010s as an answer to the drop of album sales in the 21st century. Album sales more than halved from 1999 to 2009, declining from a $14.6 to $6.3 billion industry.
