Planning Minister Of The Palestinian National Authority
The Planning Ministry of the Palestinian National Authority is the branch of the Palestinian government, that is responsible for cross-sector planning, developing comprehensive development policies with the participation of all relevant Palestinian institutions and to coordinate sector planning in specific ministries, to ensure their consistency with cross-sector approaches and plans. Any plan has to be approved by the Palestinian National Authority Cabinet and then ratified by the Palestinian Legislative Council. The ministry was established in 2003, although it unofficially existed as the former Planning and International Cooperation Ministry. The Palestinian territories are the two regions of the former British Mandate for Palestine that have been militarily occupied by Israel since the Six-Day War of 1967, namely: the West Bank (including East Jerusalem) and the Gaza Strip. Samir Abu Eisheh
Samir Abu Eisheh (born 1960) ( ar, سمير أبو عيشة) is the former Planning Minister of the Palestinian National Authority (PNA). He served in the Palestinian Tenth Government and Eleventh (National Unity) Government (2006–2007) as an expert in planning. He graduated from the Pennsylvania State University with a PhD in civil engineering.
