Plain Of Bagua
The Utcubamba valley is born in the high '' jalcas'' of Chachapoyas and runs from the southeast to the northwest to mix with the waters of the Marañón river, forming the immense plain of Bagua. This plain has a warm climate, with temperatures reaching a maximum of 40 °C and the minimum of 21 °C. Suni (Geography)
Suni or Jalca is one of the eight Natural Regions of Peru. It is located in the Andes at an altitude between 3,500 and 4,000 metres above sea level. Suni has a dry and cold weather and there are many glacial valleys. Flora and fauna The flora includes gramineous plants and shrubs such as the taya-taya (''Caesalpinia spinosa''), the quishuar (''Buddleja coriacea''), and the cantuta (''Cantua buxifolia'') which was considered sacred by the Incas. Even though it is hard for plants to grow because of the weather, people are able to cultivate such crops as quinoa, maca, qañiwa, broad beans and ulluku ''(Ullucus tuberosus)''. Chachapoyas Province
Chachapoyas is a province of the Amazonas Region, Peru. The province of Chachapoyas was a part of the department of Trujillo (according to the supreme decree of February 12, 1821) being its capital the city of Chachapoyas. After the department of Amazonas was created, by law of November 21, 1832, it became a province of the Amazonas region, and the city of Chachapoyas remained a regional capital. Its principal quarters are: *To the north: Luya Urco and Santo Domingo *To the south: Yanco and La Laguna. Rupa-Rupa or High Jungle is one of the eight natural regions of Peru. It is located between 400 and 1,000 m above the sea level to the east of the Andes mountain range in the Amazon basin of Peru.
