Pirjo Honkasalo
Pirjo Irene Honkasalo (born 22 February 1947) is a Finnish film director who has also worked as a cinematographer, film editor, producer, screenwriter and actress. In 1980 she co-directed ''Flame Top'' with Pekka Lehto, with whom she worked earlier and later as well. The film was chosen for the 1981 Cannes Film Festival. In the 1990s she focused on feature documentaries such as "The Trilogy of the Sacred and the Satanic" ('' Mysterion'', ''Tanjuska and the 7 Devils'' and ''Atman''). Honkasalo returned to fiction with ''Fire-Eater'' (1998) and ''Concrete Night'' (2013), both of which were written by Pirkko Saisio. ''Concrete Night'' won six Jussi Awards in 2014, among them the Jussi for the Best Direction and the Jussi for the Best Film. Pirjo Muranen
Pirjo Muranen (née Manninen, born 8 March 1981 in Rovaniemi) is a retired Finnish cross-country skier. She won a bronze medal in the 4 × 5 km relay at the 2010 Winter Olympics in Vancouver. Muranen won five medals at the FIS Nordic World Ski Championships with three golds (Individual sprint: 2001, 4 × 5 km relay: 2007, 2009), a silver (Team sprint: 2005, with Riitta-Liisa Lassila), and a bronze (Individual sprint: 2009). She married on 30 June 2007; previously known by her maiden name of Pirjo Manninen. Muranen also has sixteen additional victories up to 15 km from 2000 to 2002. She is the younger sister of Nordic combined skier Hannu. At the 2007 FIS Nordic World Ski Championships in Sapporo, they became the first brother-sister combination to win gold medals at the same championships. Muranen retired from the sport in April 2011. Pirjo Anneli Ala-Kapee-Hakulinen (born 25 March 1944) is a Finnish politician who was the minister of education in the fourth cabinet of prime minister Kalevi Sorsa from 1986 to 1987. A member of the Social Democratic Party, she was also a member of the Finnish Parliament from 1979 to 1989. Biography Ala-Kapee-Hakulinen was born on 25 March 1944 in Vihti, Finland. She completed the matriculation exam in 1966 and attended the University of Tampere, receiving the Master of Arts degree in 1972. Airi Pirjo Maritta Wilmi-Rokkanen (née Wilmi, formerly Häggman; born 8 June 1951) is a retired Finnish sprinter who specialized in the 400 metres. Häggman was a member of the Finnish silver medal 4 × 400 m relay team at the 1974 European Athletics Championships in Rome. She competed at the 1972, 1976 and 1980 Summer Olympics. 1976 Häggman finished fourth, missing the bronze medal by 0.01 seconds.
