It is found in the eastern Atlantic Ocean and the Mediterranean Sea. It is the only species in the monotypic genus ''Trigla''. Piper (plant)
''Piper'', the pepper plants or pepper vines, is an economically and ecologically important genus in the family Piperaceae. It contains about 1,000-2,000 species of shrubs, herbs, and lianas, many of which are dominant species in their native habitat. The diversification of this taxon is of interest to understanding the evolution of plants. Pepper plants belong to the magnoliids, which are angiosperms but neither monocots nor eudicots. Their family, Piperaceae, is most closely related to the lizardtail family (Saururaceae), which in fact generally look like smaller, more delicate and amphibious pepper plants. Both families have characteristic tail-shaped inflorescences covered in tiny flowers. A somewhat less close relative is the pipevine family (Aristolochiaceae). A well-known and very close relative – being also part of the Piperaceae – are the radiator plants of the genus ''Peperomia''. The scientific name ''Piper'' and the common name "pepper" are derived from the San ... [...More Info...]       [...Related Items...]     OR:     [Wikipedia]   [Google]   [Baidu]   |

The Piper (song)
"The Piper" is a track from the 1980 album '' Super Trouper'', by Swedish pop group ABBA. The song is loosely based on the famous story of ''The Pied Piper of Hamelin'', but lyricist Björn Ulvaeus cites the novel ''The Stand'' by Stephen King as a source of inspiration. It is regarded by some ABBA fans as being very different from the more mainstream songs they had recorded until this time. In particular, the dark lyrics dealing with the seduction by fascistic leaders and a somewhat medieval sound (drums, flute, choral) are not seen in their earlier songs. It is also the only ABBA song where a part of the refrain is in Latin, and has gained a small cult following among ABBA fans. Because of the dark Medieval sounds and the Latin verse, ABBA have even been accused of satanism. ''ABBA: Uncensored on the Road'' explains that the song was also the flip-side of the single "Super Trouper"; while ''From ABBA to Mamma Mia!: The Official Book'' adds: After a two-week break in March for the ... Karkador
''Karkador'' is the sixth album by the Japanese electronic rock band P-Model, and the first where frontman Susumu Hirasawa was the sole remaining founding member. Background and composition ''Karkador'' was mainly inspired by the dreams of P-Model's vocalist Susumu Hirasawa. He had been seeing a Jungian counselor, as he was in a troubled mental state at the time. The counselor suggested that he record his dreams in a notebook to aid his recovery. He developed a narrative and lyrics for the album based on those notes. Sadatoshi Tainaka, the band's original drummer, decided to leave after the previous tour's conclusion. He was replaced by Yasuhiro Araki, a huge fan of P-Model who had formerly played in a punk rock band. The band got signed to Alfa Records's sub-label for underground acts Edge, which allowed them to use Alfa's studios and mixing equipment, which was far better than what they had access to during their independent period.
