Piotr Gontarczyk
Piotr Gontarczyk (born 29 April 1970 in Żyrardów, Poland) is a Polish historian with a doctorate in history and political science. He is employed by the Polish Institute of National Remembrance. He specializes in the World War II history of the Polish communist movement, and in contemporary Polish history. Career Piotr Gontarczyk studied journalism and political science at Warsaw University, in 2003 receiving a doctorate for his thesis, ''The Polish Workers' Party: The Road to Power, 1942-1945''. In 2004 the thesis was honored with a Jerzy Łojek Award. Gontarczyk has also studied at the Warsaw University Institute of History. In 1998–2005 he worked in the office of the Commissioner for the Public Interest with its deputy commissioner, Judge Krzysztof Kauba. Glaukopis
Glaukopis is a nationalist Polish history journal catering to the far right. It was founded by Wojciech Muszyński. History The magazine was established by Wojciech Muszyński and his wife in 2003 – among its aims were to reject "political correctness" on controversial topics and present "truthful research" on Polish-Jewish relations. It is published in cooperation with the Department of Polish Studies at The Institute of World Politics. Muszyński remained its editor-in-chief until 2019. In 2021, the magazine was entered into a list of scientific journals approved by the Government of Poland. ''Uważam Rze. Inaczej pisane'' ("that"), was a reference to the daily newspaper '' Rzeczpospolita'', whose journalists launched the magazine. was a Polish conservative weekly news weekly. History The weekly was launched on 7 February 2011 under the editorship of Paweł Lisicki. It was owned by Presspublica, which was bought by Polish businessman Grzegorz Hajdarowicz, months later. Within a couple of months, ''Uważam Rze'' became the third most popular Polish weekly, behind ''Gość Niedzielny'' and ''Polityka''. In April 2012, a monthly historical journal was launched — ''Uważam Rze Historia''. ''Życie'' (, "Life") was an illustrated weekly established in 1897 and published in Kraków and Lwów in the Austrian partition of Poland. Founded by Ludwik Szczepański, with time it became one of the most popular Polish literary and artistic journals. Although short-lasting (it went bankrupt in 1900), it shaped an entire generation of Polish artists and art critics, notably those associated with the so-called Young Poland. Initially the weekly was focused on current news, politics, social and national matters in what was then the Austro-Hungarian Galicia.
