Pinecrest Public School
Pinecrest Public School is a public elementary school in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. History Pinecrest Public School was built in 1961. The facilities include large, bright classrooms, two gymnasiums, a library, an art room, music room, a remodeled science room, a Design and Tech Room, a computer lab and two reading nooks. The schoolyard is used by grade 7-8 students for intramural/ sports activities and general play. The school has undergone renovations to the telephone, fire alarm and air conditioning/ heating system and added new play structures, basketball courts, and an upgraded multi-level soccer area. In addition, the front office was refurbished. The student support services include: custodians, Multicultural Liaison Officer, School Resource Police Officer, educational assistants and board specialists. Pinecrest Diner
The Pinecrest Diner is a popular all-night diner-style restaurant in San Francisco, California, notorious for a murder over an order of eggs. Infamy A woman sat down at Pinecrest's counter and placed an order for poached eggs on July 24, 1997. Chef Hashem Zayed, a Jordanian immigrant, accepted the order even though the item was not on the menu. Waitress Helen Menicou, who had worked with Zayed for nearly twenty years, intervened, berating him in front of customers and other employees, and instructing him not to make the dish. The next morning, after losing several thousand dollars in an all-night gambling binge, Zayed brought a .380 semiautomatic handgun to work. He announced he would shoot Menicou, then did so five times at point-blank range. She died in the hospital half an hour later. Orange Village is a village in Cuyahoga County and an affluent eastern suburb of the Greater Cleveland area in the US state of Ohio. The population was 3,323 at the 2010 census. "Pinecrest", also known as the Richard C. Kerens House and Kerens-Spears House, is a historic home located at Elkins, Randolph County, West Virginia. It was built in 1892 to a design by the Boston architecture firm Peabody & Stearns as a summer home for Richard C. Kerens (1842–1916). It is a large sandstone dwelling in a modified Shingle Style. It has an asymmetrical shape with gable-fronted sections in the main portion, a hip roof on the servants wing, and two cone-shaped tops on rounded turrets. It features a front porch that extends well beyond the exterior wall and curves along a single-story rounded projection at the east corner. Pinecrest is an unincorporated community in Tuolumne County, California, United States. Pinecrest is located near Pinecrest Lake northeast of Mi-Wuk Village. Pinecrest Lake sits in what was once a meadow surrounded by granite outcroppings. Originally, Pinecrest Lake was called Strawberry Flat because of the wild strawberries that once grew there. In the 1960s the name was officially changed to Pinecrest. The campground adjacent to the lake is under the white fir, cedar, and sugar pine trees. Pinecrest Lake is the last in a series of dams constructed on the South Fork of the Stanislaus River. In the beginning the purpose was to divert water via ditches and flumes to the mining claims in and around Columbia and the foothills. Much of this aqueduct system remains intact today and is still used as a portion of the main water system for the surrounding area. Pinecrest Station (OC Transpo)
The Transitway is a bus rapid transit (BRT) network operated by OC Transpo in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. It comprises a series of bus-only roadways and reserved lanes on city streets and highways. The dedicated busways ensure that buses and emergency vehicles on the Transitway rarely intersect directly with the regular traffic, and make it possible for them to continue at full speed even during rush hour. OC Transpo operates a network of rapid routes which use the Transitway to connect communities with the O-Train light rail system. Additional bus routes also use segments of the Transitway. The Old Pinecrest Hotel (also known as the Maharishi School of Vedic Science) is a historic site in Avon Park, Florida, United States.
