Pilsupiai
Pilsupiai (formerly russian: Пилсупе, pl, Piłsupie) is a village in Kėdainiai district municipality, in Kaunas County, in central Lithuania. According to the 2011 census, the village had a population of 54 people. It is located from Krakės, along the Krakės-Josvainiai road, on the right bank of the Šušvė river (the Angiriai Reservoir), by its tributary Paupelys (or Pilsupys) mouth. There is the Pilsupiai hillfort (''Bakanas hill) on the confluence of the rivers. Angiriai Reservoir
The Angiriai Reservoir is an artificial lake in Kėdainiai District Municipality, central Lithuania. It is located north-west from Josvainiai town. It was created in 1980, when a dam on the Šušvė river had been built next to Angiriai village. In 2000, the dam was reconstructed and a small hydroelectric plant has been built. Shores of the reservoir at some places are high. The Pilsupiai Outcrop opens to the reservoir in Pilsupiai village. Skinderiškis (formerly russian: Скиндеришки, pl, Skinderyszki) is a former village in Kėdainiai district municipality, in Kaunas County, in central Lithuania. It was located from Pajieslys, from Pilsupiai, in the Šušvė river loop. Now the area officially belongs to Pilsupiai and Užvarčiai villages. The Skinderiškis Dendrological Park is now located in a former Skinderiškis Manor site. Krakės Eldership
Krakės Eldership ( lt, Krakių seniūnija) is a Lithuanian eldership, located in the northwestern part of Kėdainiai District Municipality. Eldership was created from the Krakės ''selsovet'' in 1993. Geography The territory of Krakės Eldership is located in the East Samogitian Plateau. Relief is mostly flat, in some places slightly undulated. Josvainiai
Josvainiai (formerly pl, Jaswojnie, russian: link=no, Ясвойни, Ясвойне) is a small town in Kėdainiai district, central Lithuania. It is located on the Šušvė River 10 km southwest from Kėdainiai. In the town there is a Catholic All Saints Church, gymnasium, post office and public library, stud farm, culture house. History The toponym ''Josvainiai'' probably derives from the unattested Lithuanian personal name ''*Josvainis''. Historians believe that there was a medieval castle in Josvainiai, and it was attacked by the Teutonic Knights many times. In 1486 Josvainiai was mentioned as a town. During the 16th century the royal manor of Josvainiai and the first wooden church were mentioned. During the wars of the 16th–17th centuries Josvainiai castle was devastated by Swedes. Skinderiškis Dendrological Park
__NOTOC__ Skinderiškis Dendrological Park ( lt, Skinderiškio dendrologinis parkas) a dendrological park (an arboretum) located in a former Skinderiškis manor site (now part of Užvarčiai village), Kėdainiai District Municipality, central Lithuania. The park is located in the Šušvė river loop and covers an area of . It was created (since 1971) by a local forester Kęstutis Kaltenis who was awarded by the prize of Lithuanian president Valdas Adamkus in 1993 for this contribution to environment protection. The park hosts thousands of various trees and shrubs which belong to more than 1300 species. All the area is divided into different biogeographical zones: Europe, Siberia, the Caucasus, Central Asia, Far East, Eastern North America and Western North America. Šušvė
Šušvė is a river in central Lithuania, a right (the longest) tributary of the Nevėžis river. It begins in Kelmė district municipality, 6 km (4 mi) southeast from Tytuvėnai. The river passes through Tytuvėnai and Sulinkiai Marshes and flows south through Radviliškis district municipality. Finally, Šušvė passes through Kėdainiai district municipality and flows into the Nevėžis near Graužiai village. The width of the river valley is between 0.5 and 3 km. From December to March Šušvė is usually frozen. Dams were built at Vaitiekūnai and Angiriai ( Angiriai Reservoir). The Šušvė Hydrological Sanctuary was established in 1992 to protect the lower courses of the river. Krakės
Krakės (formerly ''Krakiai'', pl, Kroki, russian: link=no, Кроки) is a small town in Kėdainiai district, central Lithuania. It is located on the Smilgaitis River. In the town, there are Catholic church of St. Matthew the Evangelist (built in 1907), Mikalojus Katkus gymnasium, library, medicine station, St. Catherine women convent, Krakės Agriculture Cooperative with former culture center, swimming pool and shop (built in 1983, architect K.
