Pikeville Cubs
The Pikeville Cubs was the final moniker of the minor league baseball teams based in Pikeville, Kentucky. From 1982 to 1984, Pikeville teams played as a member of the Rookie level Appalachian League, hosting home games at the Pikeville Athletic Field. Pikeville was a minor league affiliate of the Milwaukee Brewers in 1982 and Chicago Cubs in 1983 and 1984. Baseball Hall of Fame member Greg Maddux played for the 1984 Pikeville Cubs in his first professional season. History Minor league baseball began in Pikeville, Kentucky in 1982. Paintsville Brewers
Paintsville () is a home rule-class city along Paint Creek in Johnson County, Kentucky, in the United States. It is the seat of its county. The population was 3,459 during the 2010 U.S. Census. History A Paint Lick Station was referred to in military dispatches as early as 1780. The site was named for Indian art painted on the debarked trees near a local salt lick when the first white settlers arrived and was originally part of a tract belonging to George Lewis. Christopher Louis Bosio (born April 3, 1963) is an American former professional baseball pitcher and pitching coach. He played in Major League Baseball (MLB) for the Milwaukee Brewers and Seattle Mariners from 1986 to 1996. He was listed at and , and both threw and batted right-handed. Stan Boroski
Stanley Joseph Boroski (born July 14, 1963) is an American former professional baseball coach. He was the bullpen coach for the Tampa Bay Rays of Major League Baseball (MLB). Playing career Boroski was drafted by the Milwaukee Brewers in the 20th round of the 1981 Major League Baseball Draft as a catcher out of Buckeye South High School in Tiltonsville, Ohio. After two years in the Brewers system, he signed with the Kansas City Royals as a pitcher, where he remained for four years. Boroski underwent two rotator-cuff surgeries during his career. Coaching career Boroski was named a coach for the Rays on December 17, 2009, following Brian Anderson. Wytheville, Virginia
Wytheville is a town in, and the county seat of, Wythe County, in southwestern Virginia, United States. It is named after George Wythe, a signer of the United States Declaration of Independence, and mentor to Thomas Jefferson. Wytheville's population was 8,211 at the 2010 census.
