Fabio Pignatelli
Fabio Pignatelli is an Italian musician. He is the bass guitar player for the Italian progressive rock band Goblin. Goblin provided soundtracks for several horror films, most famously Dario Argento's '' Suspiria'' (1977) and George A. Romero's '' Dawn of the Dead'' (1978). The band was largely defunct by 1979, but Pignatelli kept the group together, as well as holding onto the name, and the group continued well into the 1990s, with its main lineup restored briefly in 2000. Because of Pignatelli's operation of a band with the name, they were credited as Simonetti-Pignatelli-Morante for the film, ''Tenebrae'', because the other band members (most importantly, Maurizio Guarini and Carlo Pennisi), most of whom had not worked with Simonetti or Morante, were not involved. Luca Pignatelli (born 22 June 1962) is an Italian artist. Biography Luca Pignatelli was born in 1962 in Milan, where he currently lives and works in a home-studio, self-designed based on a former industrial building. His work focuses on a constant process of gathering, recovery and elaboration of history and art. He combines and reworks a wide iconographic archive of universal images, both abstract and figurative, from antique and contemporary scenes, defined by art criticism as "Theatre of memory". Since the beginning of his artistic career, in 1987, Pignatelli has painted his now famous Roman and Greek statues, classical heads of Aphrodite and Diana, mythological figures of gods, heroes and emperors, besides skylines of New York skyscrapers, Renaissances squares, Alpine landscapes and icons of modernity such as Second-World-War airplanes, ocean-liners and steam trains. The Villa Pignatelli is a museum in Naples in southern Italy. The villa is located along the Riviera di Chiaia, the road bounding the north side of the Villa Comunale on the sea front between Mergellina and Piazza Vittoria. Santa Maria Assunta Dei Pignatelli
Santa Maria Assunta dei Pignatelli is a deconsecrated Roman Catholic church located at the end of Via Nilo (where it intersects Piazzeta Nilo, and runs into via Giovanni Paladino) in Naples, region of Campania, Italy. In the small piazza in front of the church is an ancient Roman statue of the Nile God. History The church was first built in the 14th century by the Pignatelli family from Toritto as a private chapel attached to their Palazzo Pignatelli di Toritto. This early church was attributed to the architect Andrea Ciccione. The church was reconstructed and enlarged in 1477 and again in 1736. The interior was frescoed by Fedele Fischetti in the second half of the 18th century. He also painted the ''Assumption'' on the main altar.
