Piet Steenbergen
Piet Steenbergen (28 November 1928 – 22 April 2010http://www.feyenoord.nl/pages/newsdetail/s1/10010000036374-999-10010000000003.aspx (Dutch)) was a Dutch professional footballer who played as a midfielder. Steenbergen made his debut at Feijenoord and also played for French club Le Havre AC. At Feijenoord he played a total of 229 matches in which he scored 25 times, divided over eleven seasons. A midfielder is an outfield position in association football. Midfielders may play an exclusively defensive role, breaking up attacks, and are in that case known as defensive midfielders.
