Bussum
Bussum () is a commuter town and former municipality in the Gooi region in the south east of the province of North Holland in the Netherlands near Hilversum. Since 2016, Bussum has been part of the new municipality of Gooise Meren. Bussum had a population of 33,595 in 2019 and covered an area of . History For a long time Bussum was not more than a hamlet situated amongst the heathlands of the Gooi and was first mentioned in 1306. In this time, Bussum was a large heathland with many small farms, sheep pens and forests as is shown on old maps. Abraham (Lion) Solser (6 February 1877 in Rotterdam – 3 August 1915 in Rotterdam) was a Dutch comedian and early film actor of the late 19th and early 20th century. He was born to Johannes Solser (van der Vank) and Engelina Florina Hartlooper. Solser married the stage actress Adrienne Willemsens (born 25 March 1872 in Schaerbeek, Belgium) on 10 August 1899. Narrative film, fictional film or fiction film is a motion picture that tells a fictional or fictionalized story, event or narrative. Solser En Hesse
() were two short Dutch silent films by M.H. Laddé and J.W. Merkelbach from 1900 and 1906, respectively, featuring the comedians Lion Solser and Piet Hesse. Both running for 1 "act", the first film was distributed by Edison's Ideal in 35mm film. In 1906, a sequel film was commissioned by The Royal Bioscope for release of July 1, 1906. It was produced by F.A. Nöggerath Senior at Filmfabriek F.A. Nöggerath. It was also important, in that it made use of Sound On-Disk. Eye Filmmuseum is a film archive, museum, and cinema in Amsterdam that preserves and presents both Dutch and foreign films screened in the Netherlands.
