Piet Allegaert (born 20 January 1995) is a Belgian cyclist, who currently rides for UCI WorldTeam . Career Born in Moorslede, Allegaert signed with UCI Professional Continental team in 2017, after riding with UCI WorldTeam as a stagiaire the previous season. He finished in 17th place in Paris–Roubaix, his debut classic. That year, he also won the combativity classification in the BinckBank Tour. Moorslede () is a municipality located in the Belgian province of West Flanders. The municipality comprises the towns of Dadizele, Slypskapelle and Moorslede proper. The Challenge Vuelta Ciclista a Mallorca ( en, Tour of Majorca, ca, Challenge Volta Ciclista a Mallorca) is a series of four (five until 2012) professional one day road bicycle races held on the Spanish island of Mallorca in late January or early February. Memorial Rik Van Steenbergen (previously GP Rik Van Steenbergen) is a single-day road bicycle race held annually in September in Arendonk, Belgium. The race, paying respect to the famous Belgian rider of the 1940s and 1950s, quickly gained importance and since 2005, it is a 1.1 event on the UCI Europe Tour. The race was canceled in 2013 and again in 2014 because the organizers were unable to raise sufficient funding and subsequently disappeared permanently from the calendar before being revived for 2019.
