Pierre Mailloux
Pierre Mailloux (born January 14, 1949), better known as Doc Mailloux or Docteur Mailloux, is a controversial Canadian psychiatrist and radio show host. Background Born in Normandin in the Saguenay-Lac-Saint-Jean region of Quebec. He studied medicine at Université Laval, in Quebec City, and psychiatry at McGill University, in Montreal. In 1975, after serving as psychiatrist for the Canadian Forces, he started working with assault offenders and participated in numerous trials as an expert witness on the psychiatric domain. Mailloux was assigned to the Denis Lortie case. According to Mailloux, Lortie had paranoid schizophrenia and had organized his crime during a psychotic episode, believing he was acting on instructions from God Nevertheless, in 1985, Lortie was convicted of first-degree murder, but a new trial was ordered due to legal errors. Normandin, Quebec
Normandin is a city located on the west side of Lac Saint-Jean in the Canadian province of Quebec. Normandin is named after the surveyor Joseph-Laurent Normandin. Its history of European-Canadian settlement began in 1878 when the first pioneers arrived. Alphonse Laliberté was elected as Normandin's first mayor in 1890. In 1926, the village was set up as a municipality distinct from the township; the notary J.S.N. Turcotte occupied the function of first magistrate. CKAC is a French-language radio station located in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. Owned by Cogeco, the station operates as a commercial traffic information service branded as ''Radio Circulation 730''. Its studios are located at Place Bonaventure in Downtown Montreal, and its transmitter is located in Saint-Joseph-du-Lac. CKAC was officially launched on October 2, 1922, under the ownership of the local newspaper '' La Presse'', as the first ever Francophone radio station in North America. The Canadian Broadcast Standards Council (CBSC) is an industry funded self-regulating organization created by the Canadian Association of Broadcasters to administer standards established by its own members, Canada's private broadcasters. Loft Story (Canadian TV Series)
''Loft Story'' is a Quebec television series broadcast on the TQS television network, and was an adaptation of the show ''Loft Story'' in France, which itself was an adaptation of the ''Big Brother'' franchise. TQS became V and replaced ''Loft Story'' with a new ''Big Brother'' series for Quebec in 2010. During the first season (2003), the show had TVA's ''Occupation Double'' as its main competitor, and was a success in terms of viewership, but was not as financially successful as the French version. Pedophiles
Pedophilia ( alternatively spelt paedophilia) is a psychiatric disorder in which an adult or older adolescent experiences a primary or exclusive sexual attraction to prepubescent children. Although girls typically begin the process of puberty at age 10 or 11, and boys at age 11 or 12, criteria for pedophilia extend the cut-off point for prepubescence to age 13. According to DSM-5-TR, a person must be at least 16 years old, and at least five years older than the prepubescent child, for the attraction to be diagnosed as pedophilic disorder. Castration
Castration is any action, surgical, chemical, or otherwise, by which an individual loses use of the testicles: the male gonad. Surgical castration is bilateral orchiectomy (excision of both testicles), while chemical castration uses pharmaceutical drugs to deactivate the testes. Castration causes sterilization (preventing the castrated person or animal from reproducing); it also greatly reduces the production of hormones, such as testosterone and estrogen. Surgical castration in animals is often called neutering. Le Canal Nouvelles (LCN) is a Television in Canada, Canadian French language discretionary service 24-hour headline news channel owned by Groupe TVA, a division of Québecor. Its broadcasting headquarters are located in Montreal, Quebec. The channel, operated and programmed by the TVA Nouvelles division, was launched on September 8, 1997. CJMF-FM is a French-language Canadian radio station located in Quebec City, Quebec. Owned and operated by Cogeco, it broadcasts on 93.3 MHz with an effective radiated power of 32,960 watts ( class C1) using an omnidirectional antenna.
