Pierre Fradet
Pierre Fradet (September 20, 1833 – June 27, 1910) was a carpenter and political figure in Quebec. He represented Bellechasse in the Legislative Assembly of Quebec from 1875 to 1878 as a Conservative. He was born in Saints-Gervais-et-Protais, Bellechasse County, Lower Canada, the son of Ambroise Fradet and Angèle Gonthier. In 1856, he married Louise Lachance. Fradet was defeated by Pierre Boutin when he ran for reelection in 1878. Legislative Assembly Of Quebec
The Legislative Assembly of Quebec (French: ''Assemblée législative du Québec'') was the name of the lower house of Quebec's legislature from 1867 to December 31, 1968, when it was renamed the National Assembly of Quebec. At the same time, the upper house of the legislature, the Legislative Council, was abolished. Both were initially created by the Constitution Act, 1867. It was the Union Nationale government of Premier Jean-Jacques Bertrand that passed the "Bill 90" legislation to abolish the upper house, but earlier attempts had been made by earlier governments. The presiding officer of the Assembly was known in French as ''orateur'', a literal translation of the English term, ''speaker''. When the Assembly was renamed so too was the title of its presiding officer, becoming known as the President. Today, Quebec has a unicameral legislature, whose single house is the National Assembly. Bellechasse (provincial Electoral District)
Bellechasse is a provincial electoral riding in the Chaudière-Appalaches region of Quebec, Canada which elects members to the National Assembly of Quebec. It notably includes a section of the city of Lévis as well as Saint-Henri, Saint-Anselme, Lac-Etchemin, Sainte-Claire, Beaumont, Saint-Charles-de-Bellechasse, Saint-Raphaël and Saint-Gervais. Onésime Pelletier
Onésime Pelletier (April 5, 1833 – April 2, 1881) was a physician and political figure in Quebec. He represented Bellechasse in the Legislative Assembly of Quebec from 1867 to 1875 as a Liberal member. He was born in Lavaltrie, Lower Canada, the son of Ambroise Pelletier and Louise-Sophie Giguère, and was educated at the Collège de l'Assomption and the Université Laval. He qualified to practice as a doctor in 1858 and set up practice in Saint-Charles. In 1859, he married Anselmie Blais. Pelletier was president of the Bellechasse Colonization Society. Pierre Boutin
Pierre Boutin (December 26, 1821 – December 3, 1901) was a farmer and political figure in Quebec. He represented Bellechasse in the Legislative Assembly of Quebec from 1878 to 1881 as a Liberal. He was born in Saint-Henri, Lower Canada, the son of Pierre Boutin and Rose Morisset, and was educated there.
