Pierceson Coody
Pierceson Coody (born January 7, 2000) is an American professional golfer who currently plays on the Korn Ferry Tour. Career Coody had a successful amateur career and captured the 2019 Trans-Mississippi Amateur and the 2020 Western Amateur. He ascended to the top of the World Amateur Golf Ranking in April 2021. Coody attended the University of Texas at Austin between 2018 and 2022, majoring in Corporate Communication. Playing with the Texas Longhorns men's golf team, he earned All-American honors and helped the Longhorns win the 2022 NCAA Division I Men's Golf Championship. He lost a playoff for the individual title to Gordon Sargent. Coody topped the PGA Tour University rankings and received a spot on the Korn Ferry Tour. Plano, Texas
Plano ( ) is a city in Collin County, Texas, Collin County and Denton County, Texas, United States. It had a population of 285,494 at the 2020 United States census, 2020 census. 1971 Masters Tournament
The 1971 Masters Tournament was the 35th Masters Tournament, held April 8–11 at Augusta National Golf Club in Augusta, Georgia. Charles Coody won his only major championship, two strokes ahead of runners-up Johnny Miller and Jack Nicklaus. Miller was six-under for the Sunday round and, playing two groups ahead of the final two-some, his birdie on 14 would open up a two-shot lead when Coody subsequently bogeyed the hole, but could not hold on to win. Coody, co-leader with Nicklaus entering the round, rebounded from his bogey at 14 with two consecutive birdies and parred the final two holes while Miller, 23, bogeyed two of the last three holes. It was a bit of redemption for Coody, who bogeyed the final three holes in 1969 to finish two strokes back. It was Coody's third and final win on the PGA Tour. The Open Championship
The Open Championship, often referred to as The Open or the British Open, is the oldest golf tournament in the world, and one of the most prestigious. Founded in 1860, it was originally held annually at Prestwick Golf Club in Scotland. Later the venue rotated between a select group of coastal links golf courses in the United Kingdom. The Masters Tournament (usually referred to as simply The Masters, or the U.S. Masters outside North America) is one of the four major championships in professional golf. Scheduled for the first full week of April, the Masters is the first major of the year, and unlike the others, it is always held at the same location, Augusta National Golf Club, a private course in the city of Augusta, Georgia, in the southeastern United States. Ben Silverman (golfer)
Ben Silverman (born November 15, 1987) is a Canadian professional golfer who has played on the PGA Tour. In 2017 he won the Price Cutter Charity Championship. Early and personal life Silverman was born in Thornhill, Ontario, in Canada, to Howard and Maureen Silverman, and is Jewish. He played golf at Vaughan Secondary School in Vaughan, Ontario. Silverman attended Johnson & Wales University in Florida for two years, and then Florida Atlantic University, where Silverman obtained a bachelor's degree in psychology in 2010. He was a walk-on on the golf teams of both schools. Silverman lives in West Palm Beach, Florida. He and his wife, Morgan, have one son. Professional career Silverman turned pro in 2010. Samuel Palmer Saunders (born July 30, 1987) is an American professional golfer and the grandson of Arnold Palmer. Early years Born and raised in Orlando, Florida, Saunders parents are Roy and Amy (Palmer) Saunders; his mother Amy is the younger daughter of Arnold and Winnie Palmer. Saunders attended high school at Trinity Prep in Winter Park.
