''Piece of Me'' is the third studio album by American singer Lady Wray, released on January 28, 2022, by Big Crown Records. Recording and production In 2018, Lady Wray began recording ''Piece of Me''. Leon Michels and Thomas Brenneck produced the entire album, most of which was recorded at Michels' home studio. Wray's father Kenneth Wray Sr. appears on the song "Beauty in the Fire". The song "Melody" features Wray's daughter Melody Bascote. Marco Benevento (born July 22, 1977) is an American pianist, songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, and record producer, who has been a fixture of the New York experimental music rock and jazz scene since 1999. He is the founder and recording engineer of Fred Short, a recording studio in Upstate New York, and a member of the rock groups Benevento/Russo Duo and Joe Russo's Almost Dead, both of which feature his regular musical collaborator Joe Russo. Early life Benevento was born in Livingston, New Jersey, United States, in 1977. He began playing piano at age seven. In his early teens Benevento was drawn to his four-track recorder, synthesizers and making home recordings. Thomas "Tommy" Brenneck is an American guitarist, record producer, and engineer. He became known as the leader of the Menahan Street Band and a member of The Budos Band, Sharon Jones & The Dap-Kings, and El Michels Affair. He is the founder of Dunham Records, a subsidiary of seminal retro-soul label Daptone Records; he was the producer of soul singer Charles Bradley.
