Pidhorodna
Pidhorodna ( uk, Підгородна, russian: Подгородная) is an urban-type settlement in Pervomaisk Raion, Mykolaiv Oblast, Ukraine. It belongs to Pervomaisk urban hromada, one of the hromadas of Ukraine. Population: The settlement is located on the left bank of the Siniukha River, a left tributary of the Southern Bug, about from the river. History Pidhorodna railway station was built in 1899. It belonged to Yelisavetgradsky Uyezd of Kherson Governorate. On 16 April 1920, Kherson Governorate was renamed Nikolayev Governorate, and on 21 October 1922, it was merged into Odessa Governorate. In 1923, uyezds in Ukrainian Soviet Socialist Republic were abolished, and the governorates were divided into okruhas. Bohopil Raion of Pervomaisk Okruha was established, and Pidhorodna railway station was included into Bohopil Raion. Odessa Governorate
Odesa Governorate (), was a territorial division of the Ukrainian SSR (Ukraine) that was created in January 1920 by a decision of the All-Ukrainian Revolutionary Committee (Soviet regime). The new governorate was initially created from the western part of the Kherson Governorate (which was later renamed Mykolaiv Governorate, and then merged with the rest of Odesa Governorate). Holovanivsk
Holovanivs'k () is an urban-type settlement and the administrative center of Holovanivsk Raion in the west of Kirovohrad Oblast, Ukraine. It hosts the administration of Holovanivs'k settlement hromada, one of the hromadas of Ukraine. Population: History It was a village in the Baltsky Uyezd of the Podolian Governorate of the Russian Empire. A local newspaper is published here since March 1932. The village was a shtetl home to thousands of Jews through the 1930s. Often targeted by pogroms, Jewish residents organized a self-defense militia after an incident on December 18, 1917, in which the Jewish stands of the town marketplace were looted and nine pogromists and civilians were killed in the ethnic violence that followed. Pervomaisk ( uk, Первомайськ, , ; russian: Первомайск) is a landlocked city in Mykolaiv Oblast, Ukraine and the administrative center of the Pervomaisk Raion. Pomichna () is a city in Novoukrainka Raion, Kirovohrad Oblast (region) of Ukraine. It hosts the administration of Pomichna urban hromada, one of the hromadas of Ukraine. Population: History In 1775, after the liquidation of Zaporozhian Sich, the Cossacks, leaving the Cossack winter quarters, settled in the slobodas, turning into peasants. One of these liberties was the modern village of Pomichna. Near the fortress of St. Elizaveta was garrisoned by Zaporozhian Cossacks. An okruha ( uk, округа) is an historical administrative division of the Ukrainian Soviet Socialist Republic that existed between 1923 and 1930.
