'' Picture Perfect'' is the fifth studio album by the American hard rock band 12 Stones, The album was released on July 14, 2017 through independent label Cleopatra Records. Overview The title track, "Picture Perfect", was chosen as the first single for the album. The music video was premiered on Loudwire on June 14, 2017. Critical reception The album received positive reviews. Michael Weaver of Jesus Freak Hideout stated that "while the band doesn't change up their formula any, they do however, execute it to perfection" and that "there are some spiritual overtones interspersed, but Paul McCoy focuses much more on maintaining an overall positive message in his lyrics." Daniel Höhr of KNAC.com reviewed the album and he stated "There are definitely fillers amongst the fourteen tracks on Picture Perfect, so less would certainly be more in this case." 12 Stones is an American hard rock band, formed in 2000 in Mandeville, Louisiana, and currently consisting of Paul McCoy, Eric Weaver and Sean Dunaway. History The band members met in Mandeville, Louisiana, a small city north of New Orleans, and within 15 months were signed to a record deal with Wind-up Records. Lead vocalist Paul McCoy was featured in the Evanescence single "Bring Me to Life", released in 2003, which later went on to win a Grammy Award for Best Hard Rock Performance in 2004. Post-grunge
Post-grunge is a derivative of grunge that has a less abrasive or intense tone than traditional grunge. Originally, the term was used almost pejoratively to label mid-1990s rock bands such as Bush, Candlebox and Collective Soul that emulated the original sound of grunge. In the late 1990s, post-grunge morphed into a more clearly defined style that married the sound and aesthetic of grunge with a less intense and abrasive tone, rising to prominence that lasted in the 2000s. ''Beneath the Scars'' is the fourth studio album by the rock music group 12 Stones. It was released on May 22, 2012. The album was produced by Skidd Mills, who produced the band's previous album ''Anthem for the Underdog''. The album's first single "Bulletproof" was released on July 12, 2011. The second single "Worlds Collide" was released on February 7, 2012, followed by "Infected" on February 28, 2012. The release of ''Beneath the Scars'' was delayed several times. Originally titled ''Only Human, ''it was first scheduled for release on August 23, 2011, but then delayed to September 6, 2011. It was later postponed to be remixed and remastered and then given a new release date of March 27, 2012. The album was eventually released on May 22, 2012, digitally and May 29, 2012, physically. Skidd Mills is a songwriter/producer based in Nashville, Tennessee. Skidd began his career at Ardent Studios in 1991. There he learned from the likes of John Hampton, Joe Hardy, Jim Dickinson, and Paul Ebersold. In 2001, Skidd left Ardent and started 747 Studios with fellow producer Paul Ebersold. It was there that Skiddco Music was started. In 2009, Skidd moved his operation to Nashville, where he has studios in Nolensville and on Music Row.
