The Procaer F.15 ''Picchio'' (Italian: "Woodpecker") is an Italian-designed light utility aircraft built by Procaer (PROgetti Costruzioni AERonautiche). Design The Picchio was developed in Italy in the late 1950s as a further development of Stelio Frati's Falco and Nibbio designs. Like its predecessors, the Picchio was a conventional low-wing cantilever monoplane of exceptionally clean lines, with retractable tricycle undercarriage. Early versions of the Picchio shared the same wooden construction as the earlier designs, but had a thin aluminium skin over the top of their plywood skins. The F.15E and F.15F, however, were all-metal. Production Production of the early, wooden Picchios was carried out by Procaer in Milan, but in the mid 1960s, Frati established General Avia as his own factory to build his designs, commencing with the F.15E. Picchio Racing Cars is a small Italian racing and road automobile manufacturer, based in the town of Ancarano, Teramo. History Founded in 1989 by Giotto Bizzarrini, Picchio built their first car, the SR2, in 1998. Also known as the A001 or the MB1, the SR2 used a 3-litre BMW straight-6 engine, and made its debut at the Misano round of the International Sports Racing Series in July 1998. In 2002, the firm gave Armando Trentini the exclusivity to introduced the D-USA which, with the collaboration of G&W Motorsports (now Synergy Racing), was used in the SRPII category of the Rolex Sports Car Series; Darren Law took second in the SRPII championship that year whilst driving a D-USA. the team also had one victory at the six hours of Mont Trembland Canada (drivers Daren Law, Andy Lally, Armando Trentini). Ana María Picchio (born March 30, 1946 in Buenos Aires) is an Argentina, Argentine actress. She made her debut in 1969 in the film ''Breve cielo'' and has made over 50 appearances in film and TV to date. For her role in ''Breve cielo'' she won the award for Best Actress at the 6th Moscow International Film Festival. and twice the Silver Condor Award for Best Actress, in 1970 and 1987. In 1974 she was also starring in Mario Benedetti's The Truce (1974 film),submitted to the Academy Awards (the Academy Award for Best Foreign Language Film) and won a nomination (the first Academy Award nomination in Argentine film history). Giancarlo De Sisti
Giancarlo De Sisti (; born 13 March 1943) is a retired Italian footballer and football manager and midfielder player. Club career Best known by his nickname ''Picchio'', during his club career, De Sisti played for his hometown club A.S. Roma on two occasions (1960–65, 1974–79), and ACF Fiorentina (1965–74), winning several domestic and international titles with both clubs. He made his debut in Serie A with Roma in a 2–1 away defeat to Udinese, on 12 February 1961, in which he observed the team's star player and mentor Juan Alberto Schiaffino during his first spell at the club. He enjoyed his most successful period with Fiorentina, which included a league title in 1969, the club's second overall, before returning to Roma in 1974. He won the Coppa Italia with both clubs, in 1964 and 1966.
