Vegadeo (Eonavian: A Veiga) is a municipality in the Autonomous Community of the Principality of Asturias, Spain. It is bordered in the north and east by Castropol, in the south by Villanueva de Oscos, Taramundi, and San Tirso de Abres, and in the west by the Eo River and San Tirso . Parroquia (Spain)
A ''parroquia'' (, , ) is a population entity or parish found in Galicia and Asturias in north-west Spain. They are entities with a territorial scope lower than municipality and have their own legal personality. They usually, but not always, coincide with the ecclesiastic divisions as they originated on pair with them. In Galicia there are 3771 ''parroquias'', each comprising between three and fifteen or more villages. They developed over time as de facto entities up until Galician Statute of Autonomy of 1981 recognized them as territorial entities below the ''concello'' (municipality).
