Philipsburg is a town in and the county seat of Granite County, Montana, United States. The population was 841 at the 2020 census. The town was named after the famous mining engineer Philip Deidesheimer, who designed and supervised the construction of the ore smelter around which the town originally formed. He platted the townsite in 1867. Geography Philipsburg is located at (46.333108, -113.296564). Montana Highway 1 passes through town. Granite Ghost Town State Park is nearby. Philipsburg Manor
Philipsburg Manor (sometimes referred to as Philipse Manor) was a Manorialism, manor located north of New York City in Westchester County, New York, Westchester County in the Province of New York. Netherlands-born Frederick Philipse I and two partners made the initial purchase of land that had been part of a Dutch patroonship owned by Adriaen van der Donck. Philipse subsequently bought his partners out and added more land before being granted a royal charter in 1693 for the estate, becoming its first lord of the manor, lord. After his death, the manor was split between his son and grandson, both of whom continued its development. Among the family's numerous enterprises, the Philipse family, Philipses engaged in the Atlantic slave trade, slave trade, using their own slaves to construct most of the buildings on the Philipsburg property. Sleepy Hollow is a village in the town of Mount Pleasant, in Westchester County, New York, United States. The village is located on the east bank of the Hudson River, about north of New York City, and is served by the Philipse Manor stop on the Metro-North Hudson Line.
