Phil Pavlov
Phil Pavlov (born May 26, 1963) is a former Republican member of the Michigan Senate, representing the 25th district (Huron, Sanilac, and St. Clair counties and the northeast corner of Macomb County) from 2011 until 2018. He previously served three terms in the House of Representatives, and, for one term, was a member of the St. Clair County Board of Commissioners. Michigan's 25th Senate District
Michigan's 25th Senate district is one of 38 districts in the Michigan Senate. The 25th district was created by the 1850 Michigan Constitution, as the 1835 constitution only permitted a maximum of eight senate districts. It has been represented by Republican Dan Lauwers since 2019, succeeding fellow Republican Phil Pavlov. Geography District 25 encompasses all of Huron and Sanilac counties, as well as parts of Macomb, St. Clair, and Tuscola counties. 2011 Apportionment Plan District 25, as dictated by the 2011 Apportionment Plan, was based in the Thumb, covering all of Huron, St. Clair, and Sanilac Counties and the northern reaches of Macomb County. Paul Mitchell III (November 14, 1956 – August 15, 2021) was an American businessman and politician who served as the U.S. representative for from 2017 to 2021. A member of the Republican Party for most of his Congressional tenure, he left the party in December 2020, three weeks prior to his departure from Congress, and became an independent. Judson "Jud" Gilbert II (born January 22, 1952) was a member of the Michigan Legislature. Immediately prior to this term (2010-2012) he was a member of the Michigan State Senate, where he has served since 2002.
