Phil Hui
Phillip Hui (born November 17, 1987) is an American professional poker player from San Antonio, Texas and the winner of the $50,000 The Poker Players Championship, Poker Players Championship at the 2019 World Series of Poker. Hui played golf at the University of Texas-San Antonio and professionally before turning to poker. At the 2014 World Series of Poker, Hui won his first bracelet in a $3,000 Omaha Hi-Lo event, earning $286,000. In 2019, he defeated Josh Arieh heads-up to win the Poker Players Championship. The first prize of $1,099,311 was the largest of his career. Hui won his third bracelet in the $1,500 Pot Limit Omaha 8-Handed event in the 2022 WSOP. Hui won his fourth bracelet at the 2024 WSOP in the $1,500 H.O.R.S.E. event. In addition to these results Hui also holds 5 circuit rings. As of 2024, Hui's live tournament winnings exceed $4,250,000. The Poker Players Championship is a $50,000 buy-in event at the World Series of Poker (WSOP). Added in the 2010, it replaced the former $50,000 H.O.R.S.E. World Championship as the highest-stakes mixed-games event. It is considered among the most prestigious events on offer at the WSOP. 2019 World Series Of Poker
The 2019 World Series of Poker was the 50th annual tournament, and took place from May 28 – July 16, 2019 at the Rio All-Suite Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada. There were 90 bracelet events. To celebrate the 50th WSOP there was a $50,000 No Limit Hold'em event as well as the Big 50, a $500 buy-in No Limit Hold'em event with a guaranteed $5 million prize pool and $1 million for the winner. There was also a tournament open only to past WSOP bracelet winners. A short deck tournament was also held for the first time. All No Limit Hold'em events employed the Big Blind Ante format. Josh Arieh
Josh Arieh (born September 26, 1974 in Rochester, New York) is an American professional poker player. Arieh has been competing in poker competitions since 1999. Tournament history Arieh finished in third place in the 2004 World Series of Poker (WSOP) Main Event and has a World Series of Poker title in Limit Texas hold 'em in 1999 and a 2nd-place finish at the 2000 World Series of Poker Pot Limit Omaha event to Johnny Chan.
