Philip Cilia (born 12 May 1936) was a Welsh Middleweight boxer who fought under the name Phil Edwards. Edwards was Wales middleweight champion from 1957 until his retirement in 1962. One of the best British fighters at his weight, Edwards was unfortunate to box during the reign of Terry Downes, and he twice failed in a challenge for the British title against Downes. Philip Edwards (3 September 1949 – 24 April 2017) was a British professional road racing cyclist. Cycling career He represented the United Kingdom at the 1972 Summer Olympics in Munich, West Germany, where he finished sixth in the road race, just behind teammate Phil Bayton. He represented England in the road race, at the 1974 British Commonwealth Games in Christchurch, New Zealand before becoming a professional cyclist from 1976 to 1980. It was reported that he died of a suspected heart attack at his home in Monaco on Monday, 24 April 2017 aged 67. Philip Lee Edwards (born 8 November 1985) is an English former professional footballer who made 485 appearances in the EFL. Edwards began his football career at Wigan Athletic, progressing through the club's youth system before signing a professional contract at the age of 18. In September 2004, Edwards joined Morecambe on a month's loan, playing one game before returning to Wigan. He was loaned out again during the 2005–06 season, this time to Accrington Stanley in October 2005. He subsequently signed for the club permanently in January 2006, helping them win the Conference National. He spent five years at Accrington, playing over 250 games for them in all competitions. In June 2011, Edwards signed for Stevenage on a free transfer. In March 2012, he joined Rochdale on loan until the end of the 2011–12 season. Philip Aaron Edwards, MD (September 23, 1907 – September 6, 1971) was a Canadian and Guyanese track and field athlete who competed in middle-distance events. Nicknamed the "Man of Bronze", he was Canada's most-decorated Olympian for many years. He was the first-ever winner of the Lou Marsh Trophy as Canada's top athlete. Phil Edwards is a British statistician, epidemiologist and academic. He is a Chartered Statistician of the Royal Statistical Society and a professor in the Department of Population Health at the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine (LSHTM). Edwards' research focuses on the areas of injury epidemiology and prevention along with data collection methodology. He is the recipient of grants from institutions including the Department of Health and the National Institute for Health and Care Research.
