Phil Booth (basketball)
Phil Booth (born December 31, 1995) is an American professional basketball player for SIG Strasbourg of the French LNB Pro A. He played college basketball for the Villanova Wildcats. High school career Booth played high school basketball at Mount Saint Joseph in Baltimore. While there, Booth was selected as the 2013–14 Baltimore Prep Player of the Year. He was also a first team All-Catholic league selection. Phil holds the record for most points at Mount Saint Joseph High School. College career Booth entered Villanova as a freshman during the 2014–15 season. He immediately contributed to team, and at the end of the seasons was named the Philadelphia Big Five rookie of the year. During his sophomore year, Booth continued to contribute during the 2015–16 season in important situations. The point guard (PG), also called the one or the point, is one of the five Basketball positions, positions in a regulation basketball game. A point guard has perhaps the most specialized role of any position. Point guards are expected to run the team's offense by controlling the ball and making sure that it gets to the right player at the right time. Above all, the point guard must understand and accept their coach's game plan; in this way, the position can be compared to a quarterback in American football. Big East Men's Basketball Tournament
The Big East men's basketball tournament is the championship tournament of the Big East Conference in men's basketball. The winner receives the conference's automatic bid to the NCAA Men's Division I Basketball Championship. As part of the 2013 deal in which seven schools left the original Big East Conference of 1979–2013 to form a new Big East Conference and the original conference became the American Athletic Conference, the new Big East retained the rights to the conference tournament. Venue Since 1983, the tournament has been held in Madison Square Garden, New York City. As such, the tournament is the longest-running conference tournament at any one site in all of college basketball. DePaul Blue Demons Men's Basketball
The DePaul Blue Demons men's basketball program is the NCAA Division I intercollegiate men's basketball program of DePaul University in Chicago, Illinois. The team competes in the Big East Conference. The Blue Demons play home games at Wintrust Arena at the McCormick Place convention center on Chicago's Near South Side. Providence Friars Men's Basketball
The Providence Friars men's basketball team represents Providence College in NCAA Division I competition. They were a founding member of the original Big East Conference from 1979 until 2013, and are now a member of the current Big East Conference. North Carolina Tar Heels Men's Basketball
The North Carolina Tar Heels Men's basketball program is the college basketball team of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. The 2015–16 Villanova Wildcats men's basketball team represented Villanova University in the 2015–16 NCAA Division I men's basketball season. The Big 5 is an informal association of college athletic programs in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. It is not a conference, but rather a group of NCAA Division I basketball schools who compete for the city’s collegiate championship. The Big 5 consists of the University of Pennsylvania, La Salle University, Saint Joseph's University, Temple University, and Villanova University.
