Phantasmo
Phantasmo, Master of the World is a fictional superhero who appeared in Dell Comics' ''The Funnies'' from 1940 to 1942, during the Golden Age of Comic Books. He was Dell Comics' first original superhero feature, and was created by E.C. Stoner, the first known African-American comic book artist. The character, introduced in ''The Funnies'' issue #45 (July 1940) as "the world's greatest magician," is an American adventurer named Phil Anson, who traveled to Tibet and learned the secrets of body and spirit from the High Lamas. Returning to America, he takes up residence in a posh hotel in New York City, where he enlists bellhop Whizzer McGee to be his partner. Anson can separate his mind from his body, and in spectral form he can accomplish almost anything — fly through the air, turn invisible, grow to enormous size, and push with tremendous force. Young All-Stars
The Young All-Stars are a team of fictional DC Comics superheroes. They were created by Roy Thomas, Dann Thomas, and Michael Bair, and introduced in ''Young All-Stars'' #1, dated June 1987. The team members Tsunami, Neptune Perkins, and Dan the Dyna-Mite were all introduced in previously published DC Comics stories. The team members Iron Munro, Flying Fox, and Fury were created for the series and intended to be analogs of the Golden Age versions of Superman, Batman, and Wonder Woman respectively. Nature Boy is a superhero created by Jerry Siegel and drawn by John Buscema and others. He first appeared in ''Nature Boy'' #3 (March 1956), published by Charlton Comics. Publication history ''Nature Boy'' was Charlton's attempt at gauging the strength of the superhero market (they did the same thing with the romance market by introducing ''Brides in Love''). ''Nature Boy'' ran for only three issues, #3–5 (March 1956 – February 1957). (In a practice common at Charlton, the title took over the numbering of another title, '' Danny Blaze''. Craig Yoe
Craig Yoe (born February 23, 1951) is an author, editor, art director, graphic designer, cartoonist and comics historian, best known for his Yoe! Studio creations and his line of Yoe! Books. Early life Craig Yoe was born in Des Moines, Iowa. He attended Firestone High School in Akron, Ohio and the University of Akron before dropping out to concentrate on counter-cultural activities and the anti-war movement. Career In the early 70's Yoe was a leader in the Akron Jesus People movement, creating a newspaper/Christian comic first called ''The Acorn'' and, later, ''Jesus Loves You''. In 1970, Yoe commissioned legendary surf artist and friend Rick Griffin to do the painting ''Rock of Ages'' which became the cover for ''Jesus Loves You'' (published by Zondervan). Green Lama
The Green Lama is a fictional pulp magazine hero of the 1940s, created by American author Kendell Foster Crossen. He is commonly portrayed as a powerful Buddhist Lama, dressing in green robes with a red scarf and using his powerful skill set to fight crime. Slightly different versions of the same character also appeared in comic books and on the radio. Unlike many contemporary characters from smaller publishers, the Green Lama character is not in the public domain, as the author "wisely retained all rights to his creation".
