Peugeot Onyx
The Peugeot Onyx is a concept car, concept sports car produced by the French car manufacturer Peugeot and presented at the 2012 Paris Motor Show. Design and Performance Design Designed by the Peugeot design center of chief designer Gilles Vidal, the bodywork (with its onyx mineral appearance) is hand-crafted by a master craftsman, made of carbon fiber and copper foils. The taillights adopt the stylistic three-claw signature of the Peugeot lion, and its taut lines (inspired among others by the Peugeot Proxima, Peugeot Oxia, Peugeot RCZ, Peugeot SR1, and Peugeot HX1) influence the styling of future Peugeot models 2015. Peugeot (, , ) is a French brand of automobiles owned by Stellantis. The family business that preceded the current Peugeot companies was founded in 1810, with a steel foundry that soon started making hand tools and kitchen equipment, and then bicycles. Gilles Vidal
Gilles Vidal (born ca. 1972) is a French car designer, appointed Director of Style by Peugeot at the start of 2010. He was responsible for the design direction of the 2010's at Peugeot. He is currently the design director at Renault, having joined the brand since 2020. Biographical note Vidal received his diploma from the Art Center College of Design in Vevey (Switzerland) and joined Citroën in 1996. Here he worked with Jean-Pierre Ploué and was responsible for the restyled Berlingo, the rally version of the Citroën Saxo, Saxo and the “Osmose” (Osmosis) concept car. In 2005 he assumed overall responsibility for Citroën's concept cars. 2011 24 Hours Of Le Mans
The 79th 24 Hours of Le Mans (French: ''79e 24 Heures du Mans'') was an 24-hour automobile endurance race for Le Mans Prototype (LMP) and Le Mans Grand Touring Endurance (LMGTE) cars. The race was held from 11 to 12 June 2011 at the Circuit de la Sarthe, near Le Mans, France, before 249,500 spectators. Peugeot 908
The Peugeot 908 is an auto racing car developed by Peugeot Sport in 2011 for the Le Mans Prototype category of racing. Powered by a diesel engine, it is the successor to the Peugeot 908 HDi FAP which competed since 2007. The newer 908 features a smaller diesel than its predecessor, utilizing a HDi V8 engine with Honeywell Turbo Technologies turbocharger in order to meet new regulations for 2011. The 908 has competed in all rounds of the 2011 Intercontinental Le Mans Cup including the 2011 24 Hours of Le Mans. The new 908 lost about 150 bhp compared to 2010 but improvements in the chassis and handling made the car much more agile. Unlike its predecessor the front tyres are the same width as the rear. This article is about the 1st gen HYbrid4 system (2011-2016). HYbrid4 is PSA Peugeot-Citroën's in-house developed TTR hybrid powertrain system, shared between the two manufacturers. It takes the form of a diesel engine powering the front wheels coupled with an electric motor powering the rear wheels to provide a 4WD hybrid with a short fully electric range. The system made its production debut on the Peugeot 3008 HYbrid4 in 2011, emitting 99 g of carbon dioxide per kilometer.
