Petrovouni ( el, Πετροβούνι, meaning "rocky mountain", before 1927: Βασταβέτσι - ''Vastavetsi'') is a village in the municipal unit of Tzoumerka ( Ioannina, Epirus), Greece. It is situated on a mountainside of the Athamanika mountains, above the left bank of the river Arachthos, at 1,030 m elevation. Tzoumerka ( el, Τζουμέρκα) is a former municipality in the Ioannina regional unit, Epirus, Greece. Since the 2011 local government reform it is part of the municipality North Tzoumerka, of which it is a municipal unit. The municipal unit has an area of 71.10 km2. Population 756 (2011). Athamanika
Athamanika or Tzoumerka (Greek: Αθαμανικά or Τζουμέρκα) is a mountain range in northwestern Greece, part of the wider Pindus mountain range. Its highest point is the mountain Kakarditsa, at 2,429 m. Its length is approximately 40 km from north to south and its width is approximately 15 to 20 km from east to west. The only major road crossing the Athamanika is the Greek National Road 30 (Arta - Trikala - Karditsa - Volos). Geography The Athamanika is situated on the borders of the regional units of Arta, Ioannina, Karditsa and Trikala. Arachthos (river)
The Arachthos ( el, Άραχθος) is a river in eastern Epirus, Greece. Its source is in the Pindus mountains, near the town Metsovo ( Ioannina regional unit). It is long, and its drainage area is . Its upper course is known as '' Metsovitikos''. From its confluence with the Dipotamos near the village of Batza it is called Arachthos. It flows towards the south, passing between the Athamanika and the Xerovouni mountains. In this place meets the Plaka Bridge, the largest one-arch stone bridge in Greece. It enters the large Pournari Reservoir, in the Arta regional unit, which is about 18 km² and prevents flooding of the city of Arta and also supplies water to most of Epirus. Chouliarades
Chouliarades (Greek: Χουλιαράδες) is a village in the municipality of North Tzoumerka, Greece. Its population was 140 people (2011 census). It is a traditional settlement since November 23, 1998 (Law 908D) and its code number is 12317201. The village is well known for its singing tradition: one of the villagers, Gakis Sontis, was recorded in 1930 by the Folklore Music Archive of Melpo Merlie. Syrrako ( el, Συρράκο, between 1940 and 2002: Σιράκο - ''Sirako''; rup, Siracu) is a village and a former community in the Ioannina regional unit, Epirus, Greece. Since the 2011 local government reform it is part of the municipality North Tzoumerka, of which it is a municipal unit. The municipal unit has an area of 29.307 km2. It has a predominantly Aromanian population, and is located 52 km southeast of Ioannina at an altitude of 1200 m, on the mountain Peristeri.
