European Mixed Curling Championship
The European Mixed Curling Championship was a mixed curling tournament held annually in the autumn for European nations. The first tournament was held in 2005. The European Mixed Curling Championship was replaced with a World Mixed Curling Championship, effective in the 2015–16 curling season. Daniela Jentsch
Daniela Jentsch (born 15 January 1982), previously known as Daniela Driendl, is a German curler from Füssen. She is the skip of the German National Women's Curling Team. Career Jentsch played in her first international competition in 1997 at the 1997 World Junior Curling Championships, as third for Natalie Nessler. There, the team finished in eighth place with a 2–7 record. She has skipped the German women's junior team to two "B" level gold medals in 2001 and 2002. At the "A" level, she finished tenth in 2001 and fifth in 2002, just missing the playoffs. When she was just 18, Jentsch participated in her first World Women's Curling Championship at the 2000 Ford World Women's Curling Championship in Glasgow, Scotland, playing third for Petra Tschetsch. Pia-Lisa Schöll (born 28 March 1991 in Oberstdorf) is a German curler. She is currently the alternate on the German national women's curling team, skipped by Emira Abbes. Career Juniors Schöll played third for Germany, skipped by Frederike Templin at the 2008 World Junior Curling Championships, placing last (10th place). She played third for Germany in four European Junior Curling Challenges (2006, 2008, 2009, 2011), winning the event outright in 2008 (qualifying Germany for the 2008 World Juniors). Schöll skipped the German team at the 2011 Winter Universiade, leading her team of Franzi Fischer, Josephine Obermann and Ann-Kathrin Bastian to an 8th-place finish. Women's After her youth career, Schöll found success in mixed curling. Holger Höhne
Holger "Holgi" Höhne (born 6 May 1970 in Füssen) is a German curler. He was a longtime member of the Andy Kapp rink. Currently, he coaches the German national women's team. Höhne has been playing with Kapp since 1992. However, he was only the team's alternate until joining the team as a regular thrower in 1995 at the lead position. Höhne's first tournament as lead was the 1995 Ford World Curling Championships, were the team won a bronze medal. This was added to Höhne's bronze medal at the 1994 Worlds as an alternate and a gold at the 1992 European Curling Championships. While playing lead for the team, Höhne won silver at the 1997 Ford World Curling Championships, a gold at the 1997 European Championships and a bronze at the 2005 Ford World Men's Curling Championship. Andy Kapp
Andreas "Andy" Kapp (born 8 December 1967) is a German curler from Unterthingau. After a number of several tournaments at the Junior, Olympic and World Championship levels, Kapp surprised many by winning the 1992 European championship. The next year however, he finished only 7th, but at the 1994 World Championships he and his team won the bronze medal. The next year, Kapp would go on to win the bronze medal once again. Two years later, at the 1997 World Championships, Kapp achieved his best showing at a World Championship, as he led his team to a silver medal, losing to Sweden's Peja Lindholm in the final. Kapp would also win his second European championships in December that year, soon before the first ever official medal Olympics for curling in Nagano. He would have a disappointing 1998 Olympics though where as one of the top medal favorites he went 1-6, finishing in last place in the 8-team field.
