Petr Čepek
Petr Čepek (16 September 1940 – 20 September 1994) was a Czech actor. Life He studied acting at Theatre Faculty of the Academy of Performing Arts in Prague at the same class as Ladislav Mrkvička, Josef Abrhám, Jiří Krampol or Jana Drbohlavá. After finishing school he was a member of Bezruč theatre in Ostrava. Part of the cast, including Čepek, left and founded The Drama Club in Prague. ''The Elementary School'' ( cs, Obecná škola) is a 1991 Czechoslovak comedy-drama film directed by Jan Svěrák. The screenplay comes from the pen of his father Zdeněk Svěrák. The film was nominated for the Academy Award for Best Foreign Language Film in 1991 and is considered to belong among the best Czechoslovak films ever. A prequel, ''Barefoot'', was released in 2017. Mág (Magician) is a 1988 Czech film directed by František Vláčil. The film is about Czech poet Karel Hynek Mácha. It is Vláčil's last film. The film received mixed reviews and critics called it a reflection of Vláčil's previous work. Plot Mácha goes to Litoměřice where he accepted position as a Notary. He plans to marry Lori who is getting prepared for the wedding. Mácha's brother Michal comes instead of him and announces that Mácha is dead. The film then switches to when Mácha and Lori met. Maácha and Lori met in Kajetán's theatre. The film shows Mácha's and Lori's relationship. It also shows Mácha's meeting with ill girl Márinka who is a fan of his poems. Plot The film's main storyline follows the life of Otík, a young man with mental illness, in a tight-knit village community.
